The EcoFlow Glacier is a pretty powerful fridge/freezer and has ample room for all my food storage. I currently have it configured to be a single zone freezer and the adjustable thermostat is really nice. I love that it can make ice on demand in 10-20 minutes but if the water is at room temp (which usually happens since there is no cooling for that section) then the first round of making ice usually isn’t full formed on all of the rods. I just leave the first batch in the water to cook it down and the second batch is usually on point! The compressor also makes a light “scratching” noise when it runs sometimes but I’ve been assured thats normal so just my preference to have it run a bit quieter. Other than that it runs great and is incredibly easy to set up and use! I love that they have a holder for the optional partition if you want it to be a single zone right underneath the fridge door- super convenient. The status screen is sleek and pleasing and the controls are super easy to figure out. If you get the option with an extra battery then be aware it ships separately and not with the fridge! I have had other portable fridges and freezers and this one so far is my favorite. I really enjoy the build quality compared to others I’ve had and has a lot more premium feel to it. Further, this goes much colder than any that I have had or seen on the market! One of my others would go to an advertised -4F but would routinely be around 7F which means soft ice cream. When this is set at -11F, it actually is -11F and keeps ice cream cold and solid. Not only that but you can set either zone as a fridge or freezer or the whole thing! My other would only let the left side be a freezer and couldn’t let the whole device be a freezer, only a refrigerator. I appreciate the removable divider that doubles as a cutting board as this also has a space to be stowed in the lid which my others have not had. The app is very good and you can have it Wi-Fi connected (I connect it to Starlink on my boat) to manually monitor it or make ice! Speaking of, it’s quite the convenient feature to have as someone who loves ice beverages. It works quickly and efficiently. I had previously used a portable ice maker that operates similarly to this but there was a lot of bulk there especially when combining with the separate portable refrigerator. The app also gives you push notifications when the ice is done! Last big positive is the battery you can get. It is nice being able to let it run on the battery overnight and then connect to 200w of solar to automatically charge in the morning and keep it running autonomously. Even just occasional use of the battery is nice. I have found it nice keeping the drinks cold while the family plays corn hole without having to have ice in a cooler or running back and forth between the fridge. So like all ecoflow products. It's buildt beautifully. Well designed and handsome. Lots of coolness to it especially being able to make ice. The negative comes in the shipping. I bought mine on the October Amazon price reduction. Great price for what I got! But that's the issue. When it ships, you get a tracker for the unit. 👍. But, when it arrives, there's no extra battery, no wheels and handle. Checked my order and it shows I should get all that except the box only has the freezer. No other trackers. So im thinking they sent me the plain model..wrote to ecoflow, they said someone signed for the unit, yes they did. I couldn't get them to understand I didn't receive the battery and wheel handle bundle. So after 2 mails sent. That next day a battery arrived along with the wheels and handle Not because they read and sent you help me. But they were being sent out separately. All I needed was a message anywhere to day. THE BATTERY AND WHEELS HANDLES KITS WILL SHIP SEPARATELY. I saw nowhere where it said that. I lost a bit of sleep and worried that this is gonna be a rough ride to fix this. Customer service should of told me you will get them in a day or so..don't worry. Just wanted you to know what I went through so hopefully you don't have to go through what I did. Notice on the box that I received it says, plug in battery sold separately. That's why I got nervous when I received my box with that written on it. ... show more
