My kid was about to take ukelele lessons so figured I'd purchase rather than rent. Tried out a cheap-o uke and it was nothing more than a toy. First fret either buzzed or didn't work (action was too high), felt cheap and went out of tune constantly. Picked up this Eastrock -- it was night and day. Solid construction an the tone just jumped from the li'l soprano. It wasn't in tune to start, but it was close -- which means they pre-stretched the strings. So, all in all, stays pretty well in tune, all things considered. I then picked up a concert version for myself from a different manufacturer based on a wirecutter recommendation. It was _fine_ but poor, lightweight construction and same out-of-tune problem, but the killer was that one of the tuning pegs kept slipping. Back to Eastrock and, boom... had the same experience as the soprano. In addition to the ukelele they provide a robust carrying case and a nice bag of tricks -- even an electronic tuner, which is amazingly handy. Highly recommend this manufacturer for your entry level Ukelele.

I’m a regular player of the ukulele and find this particular brand would be useful for all ages and skill sets. Being so affordable, this little uke packs a punch. It has a lovely tone and great sound. It’s incredibly sturdy, so much so that I really would take it to travel but it’s so nice I wouldn’t want to scratch it. Thankfully they sent this wonderful case that’s durable and I believe really would protect the instrument. I can’t attest to how well It holds up over time but I am confident it will do well. The bag is well made and has a convenient and easy to open front pocket with helpful goodies inside to help you along your music journey. Strings, several pics, a useful tuner with the battery included, and a cleaning/dusting cloth come with it as well as a strap, although I have not connected that yet. The only thing I would suggest grabbing in addition if you’re a beginner is a capo since this kit does not include one but for the price you can easily add an inexpensive one to your cart. I believe mine was $10 and I already had purchased it with my first uke. I usually use my tuner on my phone which doesn’t always work I have found the new tuner to be simple and reliable, the instructions are easy to understand. I truly adore this new uke, I received a soprano when I have really only played a concert. This is also a great way to explore new instruments without breaking the bank. I was sent this item in exchange for an honest review and a video on Instagram. I am beyond ecstatic because I always see the kits advertised as expensive but they’re low quality. Eastrock sets itself apart. It has the name etched in lovely with their name on the bag as well. The bag has adjustable sturdy back straps with a bit of cushion for those long walks and a side handle if you should choose to hold it that way. I would easily spend money on another instrument from this company and now when friends are looking for something quality I can steer them in this direction. I have purchased other similar instruments that are nice but were worth twice the price and didn’t include anything but a thin gig bag. I truly can’t wait to keep playing this instrument and think the price is equal to the bag alone. I’ve paid $80 for a good hard case and although this is not the same I am not even a little concerned it will keep this one safe for a fraction of the price. I know I raved about the bag but it’s important to have something to keep your instrument safe! It’s not to be outshined by this incredible instrument. Definitely worth investing in. This is such a well-crafted Uke with beautiful sound quality. This was a great deal and definitely fun to be able to plug it into an amp for a different uke experience.

Okay so first off, the Uke is beautiful and sounds great as an acoustic... but I ordered the ELECTRIC uke and this one doesn't work. I've tried YouTube, Google, searching reviews, and I see a lot of people saying their tuners don't work, but my entire uke is not functioning. I used the included battery but it's not working in the uke (I tried it in the tuner and it does work, so it's just the uke, not the battery). It DOES NOT have an ON button as shown in my video, just a battery light and led screen. I tried clicking the tuner button and playing with my amp, but nothing. UPDATE: I LOOKED UP OTHER BRANDS THAT USED (2) BATTERIES AND BOUGHT ANOTHER BATTERY JUST TO TRY IT (this bundle only included one) AND THAT DID THE TRICK! The Q+A says the EQ only needs one... no, it needs 2. Trust me 🙄 The picks it came with were also really gross and stuck together with some kind of black gunk, like maybe the were used and had been sitting in a cup holder or on a floor or something. It was gross... I took pictures but I could only post a video or the pics so I'm doing the video since I have my own picks.

Appears well made and has a lovely sound. Clip on tuner did not work initially but after replacing the battery , I was amazed at the ease of tuning this ukulele. Looking forward to making beautiful music with this instrument.
