Better than any gas tiller I have used

I was blown away by how powerful, aggressive, and tough these are. Much lighter and more maneuverable than the gas models I have rented, but every bit (if not more) capable. Only downside is the cord, but I’ll take it for all the other benefits. I had another brand that I acquired used and then beat the crap out of to till up several new garden beds in hard clay soil full of rocks. When I did finally kill it (broke the gearbox) I immediately bought a new one and have continued to abuse it without issue. I haven’t used this one for a long as the prior one (maybe 1/4 the time), so I can’t swear it’s as good, but I have treated it just as badly without any signs of damage… will update if anything changes.

I really needed a garden tiller and chose this one after reading multiple reviews on various websites. It’s awesome! I had never used a tiller before and it’s very simple to use. I chose the 16” tiller. My husband totally made fun of me for buying an electric tiller until he used it. It’s powerful and did a great job in our heavy clay soil. Once I got the hang if it, I was able to easily till parts of a large flower garden that were overgrown with weeds and I actually enjoyed it! So much easier than digging weeds out by hand!

Works great

The video was hard to shoot by myself with one hand holding phone, the other working the machine. I tried to show what it is capable of by going through a weeded area. This area had previously been cleared of grass a few years ago (by hand with pick and mattock). But the weeds got pretty thick between the end of last year's growing season and early/mid spring this year. For the remainder of the space I pulled a lot of the tops off the weeds by hand because they would just wind around the spindle. The machine tore the roots out (also winding around the spindle, but eventually that us just unavoidable). There are a lot of rocks in this ground of varying sizes from pea to softball and a few larger. Rocks up to around tennis ball size are handled easily. They get spit out to the side or left in front as you move backwards. I pick them up and get them out of the area. The larger softball size rocks are handled pretty well. But I try to avoid causing damage to the machine and stop it and get them out by hand. They are, however, nicely loosened by the tilling action. The smaller rocks are no issue. Lots get brought to the surface and I gather them up, too. It's rather lightweight, easy to move and carry by the handle (or to pull using the retractable wheels). Having g so little weight does cause it to buck and bounce when it hits hard stuff in the ground (like the larger rocks). Once the ground is cleared it really digs in and churns it up. In my case, since I am removing the rocks as I go, it just keeps getting better, faster and easier. I bought this one over other despite a slightly higher price because the top shield curves down at the back. You'll see other models where the top shield is pretty much just flat. The curved top shield on this model works like a fender on a bicycle and prevents most of the dirt from being thrown back onto your feet. Of course not all of the dirt. This is still going to be a dirty job, but it really helps. It's easy to handle. I've gotten better with it since shooting the video, but then you wouldn't get to see it chewing up the weeds. I wish I had gotten this years ago.

I love this little rototiller. It is perfect for my garden. It's easy to move and easy to use. It really chews the dirt. It's cheaper and easier to use than a larger one. For people with small gardens this is perfect!

Works great-ish

This thing works really well as a tiller for breaking up that spring garden. It struggles with grass which isn't surprising. I have crazy thick country sod. You can't have the wheels down when using. They're not made for anything more than pulling across the yard. This makes depth control difficult and I would not use this for cultivating an existing garden. Cultivating and Tilling are not the same thing. For tilling though, it's a great combination of power and light weight. Easy to maneuver and has enough power. Don't skimp on the extension cord.

Wow! I was so impressed with this little rotor tiller. I bought the 13.5 A TC70016EW model. Looked at Home Depot, they only sold the 6.5 model, very glad I searched Amazon to find this vendor sold a variety of models. So we went with the 13.5. We wanted to till our backyard where the grass had died 3 yrs ago. Soil was hard packed we waited to till after it had rained and sat for 5 days. Boy, did this tiller do a great job to fluff the dirt! We moved about 10 wheelbarrows around to other areas in the garden. It’s raining again in CA and will take it down some more later then reseed and lay straw. Area tilled is about 30’x40’ Thank you wise Earth for making a great product. Keep up the good work!
