Description

The Earthquake® Versa™ front tine tiller is two garden tools in one! As a cultivator, The Versa™ can weed, mulch, and aerate soil. As a tiller, the high-performance 79cc Viper® engine and design delivers the right amount of power to turn all kinds of soil. Prepare wide open spaces of land in the Spring, maintain rows in the Summer, and do major cleanup in the Fall. The side shields and outer tines can be quickly removed to turn the tiller into a narrow cultivator without the use of any tools. Choose between 3 tilling widths (11, 16 or 21 inches) for optimal performance in your garden. Set the drag stake to your desired tilling depth (up to 11”) to maintain a consistent seed bed. Standard rotating tines propel The Versa through all soil types with minimal effort. The Versa is backed by a friendly, U.S. based customer support team, and a 5-year limited warranty so you can be sure your Earthquake tiller will perform for many years to come. You can’t count on the rain, but you can count on Earthquake.

  • Light weight. Easy to handle
Very easy to put together. Took only about an hour. It is light weight so it is easy for me to handle. Haven’t got to use it yet due to so much rain.

  • No directions
There’s no directions anywhere online or website that tells you how to put in the oil. They assume you know. I just assume you tilt the thing sideways and put in all the oil it came with. Not sure if that’s how it’s suppose to be done.

  • Awesome tiller. Terrible factory preparation for assembly.
Once I got this tiller assembled, it performed like a champ. It's heavy-duty but my petite wife can still maneuver it easily. We have some rough virgin ground we are expanding our large garden to and, though we had to work some of it twice both to break up the soil and to blend in peat moss, we were pleased with how it performed. It turns easily and has an easy pull-start cord that doesn't break your arm or wear you out. It starts quickly. Cold, you choke it and pull once and then cut off the choke and pull again, it starts right up. When its been use and gets shut down for a few minutes, it starts on the first try. But the way the tiller arrived from the factory for assembly was disappointing, to say the least. We were two smaller nut-and bolt assemblies short and they sent two larger nut-and-bolt assemblies I didn't need. Unbelievably, I had to use my drill press to enlarge the holes on the left tine assembly where they attached to the tine drive. How can you not get the size of the holes correct for the bolts you send with the tiller? There are four bolts that hold the handlebar mechanism. The instructions assume the bottom portion is partially attached upon arrival with only the adjustable wingnuts necessary to install. That isn't the case. The handlebar mechanism arrives zip-tied to the engine assembly and the instructions don't tell you which bolts are to be used to install it, nor where in the process that is supposed to happen. The instructions also have you attach some parts which later have to be removed in order to install other parts. Overall, we love the tiller but the assembly instructions and process is a pain in the posterior. I wouldn't do it again. I'd go to Home Depot and buy a tiller, even though those would be more expensive, and have the store assemble it for me. It just isn't a good enough tiller to have to relive that nightmare. ... show more
