Features

  • POWER AND FLEXIBILITY: The 79cc Viper Engine spins a tri-tip steel blade at 3400 RPMs providing the power and speed you need to accomplish lawn, sidewalk and driveway edging tasks. The edger can also be used for smaller trenching jobs such as electric fence installation or creating an underground cable run to a garage or shed.
  • MULTI-POSITION CUTTING: Our multi-position pivoting head offers 5 different cutting angles from 70-110 degrees allowing the user to select the angle that is best suited to handle any type of grass they need to edge. Head adjustment is made by simply sliding the single-hand operated lever into the appropriate notch on the adjustment plate.
  • PRECISION LINES: Clean professional lines can be easily achieved regardless of grass type when you combine the balance of a 4-wheeled design with multi-angled cutting. Use the 90-degree angle option to slice through standard blade grass or select between angles of 70, 80, 100, and 110 degrees to create a clean edge when dealing with creeping or tuberous grasses.
  • FLEXIBLE DEPTH CONTROL: Take complete control over your depth of cut with our flexible control mechanism. From the operating position, engage the adjustment lever with one-hand to select from multiple different depth settings from 0.5 inches up to 3.5 inches.
  • DEBRIS GUARD AND TOOL HOLDER: A durable chain skirting protects the operator from flying debris while the attached tool holder provides a convenient place to store smaller hand tools making them easily available for lawn and sidewalk detailing.
  • WARRANTY AND SERVICE: Earthquake is committed to providing a great product and an even better user experience which is why the Edger is backed by a 5-Year limited warranty and US-based service and support.

Description

The Earthquake Edger is an incredibly versatile tool for homeowners and landscapers alike to achieve beautiful and professional looking borders around lawns, sidewalks, driveways and property lines. With a 79cc Viper Engine you can be confident that there is plenty of power being transferred to the tri- tip spring steel blade to make quick precision cuts that will leave crisp, clean lines. Rolling on the stability of 4 wheels balances the unit, allowing for the user control that is necessary to maintain consistently straight edges. The multi-angle cutting head offers 5 positions from 70 to 110 degrees to ensure that you have the correct angle available to aggressively attack grass types ranging from straight blade to curly creeping. In addition to edging, this unit doubles as a small utility trenching tool for backyard cables and wires. • Smooth running edger.
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
Runs great!

  • Great value and easy to use
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
Great value and quality. Hubs and I put this edger together in about 4 hours. Worked on it the first day in triple digit heat for a couple of hours out in the garage. But on day 2, I gathered all the parts and pieces, took them to the kitchen, and called hubs. He finished it under the AC and we were both much happier. Dang thing started up on the second pull. Awesome. 🤩 Full disclosure, I know Jack about putting stuff together and am not strong enough to start any equipment, but I can read directions and usually find the tools needed. Hubs worked with Special Ed and is very patient, but I’m not. I’m a total geek and have a Master’s in Information Technology and now with AI, I wish I become a plumber or electrician. It’s the tool belt generation, you know. My only complaint is that the instructions need a parts list with pictures of actual size nuts, bolts, etc. Also, one of the pieces was a rod that was painted and I needed a rubber mallet to pound it through the holes. Not that I do any pounding, mind you. The paint made the rod too tight a fit. Really, how hard would it be to have mentioned that? Likely that rod was one which the wheels went on. ... show more

  • Edger Kit
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
The package is delivered as a kit with the parts needed to build an edger. At least the engine is complete. If you are young and agile, you should have it complete and running in under 2 hours. I am old and not agile, and with rest and frustration breaks, it took me 5 hours. Initially, I thought the instructions were fairly good. However, the frustration breaks were to find online photographs that illustrated the actual assembly. You also need metric tools from 8 mm to 19 mm and a few in between. The engine did start right up, and I am grateful for that. ... show more

Love it and it is easy to handle. Does a great job doing its thing. Makes for comfortable edging and you don’t have to carry anything.

  • Not Recommended, Engine is Junk!
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
I used this edger maybe a dozen times over the past year. Engine smoked a little from the start and the compression is low. I should've returned it after the first use but I figured it just needed to break in. Now, it won't start at all. It's getting spark but no fuel. I suspect the carb is gummed up. It's not worth dumping money into it. ... show more

  • Not reliable
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
Bought this edger a year ago and it works for 1 season. Trying to use it now and it won't run. Always to be a carburator issue as it doesn't seem to be getting fuel. It starts easily with starting fluid but will not run on its own. I had high hopes for this edger.

  • price quality
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
Just what I ordered. Instructions are written by an engineer, back wheels kept falling off after first use, need better instructions and axle for this. Runs great best straight lines I have had in a while. Also the lever of hieght adjustment moves while using - would be nice if this would lock somehow, My 30 year old McClanes unit did the same thing. Overall pleased ... show more
