Description

The Earthquake® Walk-Behind Edger is an incredibly versatile tool for homeowners and landscapers alike to achieve beautiful and professional looking borders around lawns, sidewalks, curbs, and driveways. Powered by an always reliable, 79cc 4-cycle Viper® engine means no mixing of gas and oil, and more power than handheld or stick edgers. A variable-speed throttle precisely controls the cutting speed when starting new cuts or maneuvering around corners. Create perfectly straight lines or use the 5-position cutting head to pivot the blade up to 20 degrees in either direction to create beveled edges around flower beds. This unit comes equipped with a tri-tip cutting blade made of high-strength steel that lasts longer, and provides straighter lines and better control that bar style blades. The airless, 4-wheel design creates a more stable platform for better handling and balance while a built-in cup and tool holder offers a handy place to store tools such as garden shears or hand trowels. • Great Product
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
Didn’t expect to have to assemble it, but it wasn’t difficult, took about 1 hour. The edger is well built and started on first pull. Looks great, works great, it’s a sure winner. Shipping was fast. Well worth the money.

  • Great value and easy to use
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
Great value and quality. Hubs and I put this edger together in about 4 hours. Worked on it the first day in triple digit heat for a couple of hours out in the garage. But on day 2, I gathered all the parts and pieces, took them to the kitchen, and called hubs. He finished it under the AC and we were both much happier. Dang thing started up on the second pull. Awesome. 🤩 Full disclosure, I know Jack about putting stuff together and am not strong enough to start any equipment, but I can read directions and usually find the tools needed. Hubs worked with Special Ed and is very patient, but I’m not. I’m a total geek and have a Master’s in Information Technology and now with AI, I wish I become a plumber or electrician. It’s the tool belt generation, you know. My only complaint is that the instructions need a parts list with pictures of actual size nuts, bolts, etc. Also, one of the pieces was a rod that was painted and I needed a rubber mallet to pound it through the holes. Not that I do any pounding, mind you. The paint made the rod too tight a fit. Really, how hard would it be to have mentioned that? Likely that rod was one which the wheels went on. ... show more

The edger was easy to put together and did exactly what I was hoping it would do. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a professional edge on their lawn.

  • Once assembled…
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
I was ready to ship it back after I opened the box to see the amount of assembly required. Thirty minutes later I was still asking myself whether I should keep it as I struggled to understand assembly directions which had few words and blurred diagrams. It took a bit but once assembled it started on the first pull! I’ve used it for sidewalk and bed edgings 3-4 times so far…it does the job. ... show more

  • Edger Kit
Style: 79cc Tri-Tip Blade
The package is delivered as a kit with the parts needed to build an edger. At least the engine is complete. If you are young and agile, you should have it complete and running in under 2 hours. I am old and not agile, and with rest and frustration breaks, it took me 5 hours. Initially, I thought the instructions were fairly good. However, the frustration breaks were to find online photographs that illustrated the actual assembly. You also need metric tools from 8 mm to 19 mm and a few in between. The engine did start right up, and I am grateful for that. ... show more
