I did so much research on which canopy to buy, because they ALL have mixed reviews. I finally settled on this one and am so glad I did! Great design - from box opening to fully up, it took about 3 minutes! If I was doing it alone it might have taken 4, ha. STEPS: 1) Open frame a bit, 2) spread canopy on top and secure the velcro corners, 3) fully spread out frame and canopy, and 4) raising the legs (3 possible height settings) - with four people it just took a few seconds, but I absolutely could have done it myself, incrementally raising them to avoid strain on any individual leg. We staked down the legs (without the guy wires - didn't want tripping hazard at a party), and used the sandbags. We had an immediate storm and a fair amount of wind for the 48 hours it was up, and it was sturdy and kept everything dry. Taking it down (again with four people, one of whom was 7 years old) took only a minute: remove sandbags, pull out stakes, turn the button to release the dome, get out from under canopy, and everyone push your leg into the center, and DONE. Went easily into the provided rolling bag, with two people. Again, could have done it all myself if need be, but would take a few more minutes. We will use this for shade all summer!

I set this up once just to inspect it, but haven't used in the real world yet. Canopy is made of tent material, probably not very waterproof, but looks good. Extremely easy to put up with the center pop-up. One person could easily put it up. Frame is a bit weak in my opinion. Legs seem a bit wobbly. The bag has an odd design. Opens on the end instead of a zipper the whole way down. Getting it in the bag is a two person job.. I'll get some water proofing for it, and it should work alright for covering picnic table while camping.

I do craft shows for a living. This things super easy to set up and take down. Usually takes three minutes... Puting on the sand bags takes a bit more. It is however NOT water proof. However using a simple rain proof tent spray and it worked great and held up dry in some pretty heavy rain for an 8 hour period, that is woth the rain proofer spray. I highly recommend this

This is the second Eagle Ridge canopy we've had. We had a two-year-old frame for which the original canopy was destroyed. We found an Eagle Ridge canopy to fit the frame we had, and together they lasted another two years -- until recently when I didn't have time to take it down before a gale-force wind and rain storm hit, and it was destroyed. Before that it had held up in some very strong winds, but this was just too much (80 mph gusts). The frame was literally on its lasts legs (it had lost hardware and I had to improvise on that). So the frame twisted and collapsed, and punctured and ripped the canopy. No canopy can withstand that kind of treatment. I really liked the quality of the Eagle Ridge canopy we had, and how snugly and well it attaches to a frame (excellent system of strategically placed velcro closures), so I ordered a new canopy and frame together. I put it up yesterday (it's the beginning of September as I write), since we'll still get a couple of months use out of it before cold weather forces us inside. The frame is sturdy (straight-leg version) and well-designed. The canopy has a roof vent (very helpful in moderate to even strong winds), and comes with strong nylon cords attachable to the corners to help anchor it. We also use 16-pound water bags attached to each leg. Between those and the cords, the canopy is anchored quite well. We use it on our cement patio, over our outdoor dining table, with the cords anchored in the grass around it. An important aside: We've found that water bags work much better than sand bags: they're heavier than most sandbags, therefore give more stability; and FAR easier to fill. And you can just drain them and put them away for the winter, and not have to drag heavy bags still filled with sand to wherever you're going to store them.

The only problem I had was the box that it came in was labeled where to open. However, when I cut the box open I discovered that I also cut right through the carrying case that holds the canopy. Why in the world would it be labeled where to cut open the package only to have it damage the product? . I was extremely disappointed to find my product damaged as soon as it came out of the packaging.

These people stand behind their product. We winter in Florida and out EZ-Up is in the hot sun all day! It provides not only shade but has UV protection. The top did rip and wasn’t quite a year old. I emailed this company and didn’t hesitate to send a replacement ! Great company!
