  • Works great. Easy to use and effective for my shop
Size: 80,000 BTUs
Output on the heat is great. I swapped out my salamander heater for this in my shop and the Noise level is minimum. I use a fan to circulate the air and it stays nice and toasty now. I put a pan on water on the top to keep the humidity level in check.

Update 2020, 5 years in, still working perfect, had to disassemble gas valve and clean a hand full of times because of slow starting but nothing else Firstly, this heater can be used with 20lb propane tanks. I got a Mr Heater 2 tank hook up kit here on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000K287CG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that allows you to tee two 20lbs tanks together. Much easier to move than 100lb tanks and Tractor Supply refills the tanks for $2..79 a gallon. Secondly i can verify there is no issue with tanks icing over. I ran this heater at about 30%-50% for over 6 hours with those tanks outside of the building where is at +7F. There was some frost on the outside same as everything else, but nothing that caused any issues. Guessing by weight, i think i used about 1/3 of each 20lb propane tank by running it around 30% the mjaority of those 6 hours. I am heating a small garage, 14x31ft, but its an all steel Arrow shed, with no insulation, a ridge cap vent, and vents every 6 inches from the ridges of the roofing where the wall meets. At around 30%, it kept this uninsulated unsealed shed at 75, for 6 hours in +7F weather. I dont know what more you could asked for. One thing i did purchase was a Kiddie digital carbon monoxide detector (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00002N86A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) just to be safe. I did run the heater at 50% for 10 minutes or so when i had opened the door to clean with some solvents, and when i closed it i noted a 35ppm CO reading on it. I opend the door back up and it went to 0 in a few minutes. Never had the issue again. It is loud at 50% and above, but i mean it's going to be, 100,000 - 200,000btus is alot of heat coming out. I didint find it obnoxiously loud at all. I also recommend a circulation fan at the higher point of your worksplace to help keep the heat circlating. It allows you to run a much lower firing rate with more even heat. The heater took about 3 mintues to unbox and put together, 4 philips screws, one hose conenction, hold the pilot light button for about 5 seconds, i did it until a smelled gas to purge the lines, waited 2 minutes for the gas to clear a little, then held the button and pressed the ignitor. Pilot light lit - by pilot light we are talking a blue flame from a soldering torch, then you open the gas valve slowly to activate the burner. i highly recommend this heater, even less odor than the Dynaglow 23k btu K1 Kerosene heater i had been using. ... show more

  • Heats well. Make sure you have extra propane tanks handy.
Size: 25,000 BTUs
Using this on the low setting does a really nice job heating up my attached garage. It does such a good job that it feels cold walking into the house. But, the propane tank seems to drain faster than other heaters that I've had. I really like this, but I make sure I always have a spare propane tank ready to hook up. ... show more

  • wont honor the warranty
Size: 80,000 BTUs
I purchased this heater in Nov of 2023. I use this in a 3 car garage that has a ventilation fan running when the heater is running. Feb 2024, the thermocouple went out. I contacted the support for the product and they said it was not covered since this is a construction heater and i was not using it properly. Luckily I purchased a new thermocouple from amazon and it works now. Very poor customer support for a $12 part that goes bad. ... show more

  • Great value

Works as it should, easy to put together and connect to propane tank. A bit loud on higher settings. Gets 2½ car garage warm in a under 5 mintues in 20°F temps.

  • Great heater ... almost overpowering... and do take precautions and be careful!
Size: 80,000 BTUs
arrived on time in perfect shape and is exactly what I was looking for. I have a two bay garage 25x25 with 12 foot high ceilings. The ceiling is insulated the walls are not. I'm in NH and on our first trial run it was a typical 10-30 degree week - within an hour I was able to work in a t shirt in the garage... The equipment in the garage took 2 hours longer to warm up (e.g.hand tools and air compressor). After things are warm (a couple hours) i have to turn the heater off as it is too hot even at the lowest setting... not a big deal, but true... I might actually buy a smaller one to turn on once this guy has completed the initial warm up. And finally a couple words of caution... do vent the garage as silly as that may seem - the lack of oxygen totally surprised me, even with all the comment warnings... a CO2 monitor is nice... but just partially open a door or window knowing it's going to take any and all oxygen out of the room within 2-3 hours.... you'll only realize how bad it is when you walk outside, come back in, look at whatever you were working on and say 'what was I thinking?' - because you were not thinking correctly... and finally - when you light up the heater... do stand back as far as possible... as it will burn a beard in short order if one is to stand over it while lighting... just sayin (the girl didn't like the beard anyway!). ... show more
