All Dyna-Glo Delux Kerosene Forced Air Heaters are CSA certified for multi-fuel use with these fuel types: K1 Kerosene, Diesel 1, Diesel 2, Fuel Oil 1, Fuel Oil 2, Jet A and JP-8. Outstanding heater, highly recommend it. Not as loud as the old heaters I have had in the past. Thermostat works great, heats a 30 x 50 x 12 with no problems. Only smell is at start up and shut down. Thing works great. Brings the area I'm working in my barn to a comfortable temperature. lowest outside temp I've used in is around 5-10 f, and I generally end up turning off the heater because it's getting to warm. Have been using diesel instead of kerosene because so much easier to buy. I have had this heater for a couple of weeks and I’ve been using it in subzero temperatures warming up garages that are insulated so I can do paint projects. So far I have primarily burnt diesel fuel and not only am I impressed that there is no residue or smoke that comes from the unit burning diesel, but I can also say the amount of heat that it puts out is tremendous. My only complaint would be that the gas cap broke within the first week and I will be contacting the manufacturer to replace my cap but other than that this seems to be a fantastic unit and I’ve been using these turbo heaters since the early 90s when I started in rental property, and I say this one may be the best one that I’ve owned in terms of the variety of fuels that it burns in the amount of heat that it puts out. ... show more

Works awesome! Came broken....I'm assuming from shipping. I'm pretty mechanical so I opened up. Long story short, Dyna Glo sent me a whole new fan motor and a few other parts and I was happy.

    • Great heat output

I was hesitant to purchase this heater at first but now I am glad I did. I'm heating a 20 x 30 shed/shop that has no insulation and leaks air like a sieve. I crack two windows and this heater had no problems maintaining 65 to 70 degrees in there on a 35 degree outside temperature day. It is noisy, like a small jet engine but I can deal with that if it will keep me warm. The only complaint I have is the thermostat. It is not at all accurate and I wonder if it is a thermostat at all or just a variable timer. It does somewhat adjust to temperature but when it gets too warm in there I turn it back just to shutdown state (maybe 5 degrees on dial) and it does not re-ignite for at least 15 degrees. I am running diesel thru it because kerosene is too hard to come by in my area and way too expensive. I do get a slight diesel odor but nothing I can't live with. As I mentioned I crack a couple of windows when I run it. All in all it was a good investment for me and I am happy with the performance. ... show more

You will need a short extension cord. Quieter than my almost 50 year old Red Line TSC heater. Comparable light odor to old unit on red diesel. Like another commenter, I have used an old creeper to keep it off the concrete floor. Liked the price and very fast UPS holiday shipping. Heats insulated 24x30 insulated garage easily. Awesome product so far. Heats my 30x30 by 15 degrees in 7 mins. I use kerosene there is a slight smell but was expected and not overwhelming. I use it to bring temp up til I get my wood stove going. I don't run it constantly.
