My mom loves this dvd player but it was having issues ejecting the dvds. I emailed the company and they are sending a replacement even though it was a few days after the return period passed. The company has excellent customer service.

    • Bad product out of the box
I purchased this item for my parents because it can play multiple file types. Item I received was brand new in the box with new packing material inside, So I know for a fact that this wasn't a return. It was brand new. I installed the player with no trouble. It's a simple install with RCA cables to connect the TV and a power cord to plug in. Once up and running, I noticed that the video quality was horrific. Snowy and flickering picture, just like you would expect out of a TV from a horror movie. This is on the boot screen before even playing a video. I tested the machine with two different DVD movies that I know work just fine. Both were played in black and white, covered in snow. I then thought that the issue may be the cheap RCA cables that the unit came with. I grabbed my RCA cables out of the bedroom TV set up and used that to see if the issue was the cable, or the player. The picture quality was exactly the same. It wasn't the cables. To be clear, this is not a person upset by low video quality out of an inexpensive machine. Im not saying that I expected Ultra high rez perfection out of a $24 machine. This isn't the issue. Im saying that the product was faulty out of the box. This is obviously a broken product, out of the box that shouldn't have passed quality control. Im sending the unit back, but I don't trust the brand enough to give them a second chance, I will be replacing it with a competitors product. ... show more

It was cheap so I took the risk. The power button is a switch on the right side. I didn't read the manual . I thought it was a dud But yes we got it to work finally.

It literally scratches every disc that we put in it. I have lost more money in movies than I did on the dvd player. Disc holder just opens and shuts repeatedly for hours even when shut off. It won’t play a movie because of the opening and shutting. Don’t waste your money

The picture quality is fantastic, honestly did not need this was ordered by mistake because my father thought we did not have any DVD players. So when I went to return the item they and when I say they I mean Amazon told me no need to return the item and the refunded me the money and told me to keep the DVD player. My hat goes off to them over at Amazon. No it was not expensive but that wasn't the point it was the point that they told me not to worry about it at all. And it was taken care of instantaneously.
