I purchased this GOKUID DVD Player about a week ago and I love it so far! My daughter is just getting old enough to watch some dvds in her own room so this was a great purchase for her. This dvd player is very lightweight and easy to move. It comes packaged very well so it is not damaged also. I am not very tech savvy and I was so happy with this. I set it up quickly. It comes with all the cords you need and a remote that was easy to use. This does make my really old dvds look pretty crisp, which is a nice little detail. I would purchase this item again. This is a good price for this item and it works great for us so far!

Its good that it has at least some function buttons on the unit such as open, pause, play, stop and power off plus a digital display in case remote batteries go dead and none left laying around to have some control and to at least see how much time the dvd has left to play. Its nice being able to view and listen from the flash drive. It is backward compatible fat / fat32 formatted which is standard formatting for usb drives / flash drives / thumb drives that have a capacity of 32gb or less. Some image formats it can display include gif, jpg, and can play mp3 music files and a lot of video formats. Its small and compact and light weight. I did noticed however that the dvd drawer is very thin and even though I'm very gentle with things I could feel it bend a little so I would recommend gently pushing it shut no harder than absolutely necessary. Its a little disappointing that it cant play blue ray but i don't have a lot of those and some that i do have also came with a standard version dvd so that's good. I got this for my bedroom tv so another thing i liked is that when it is powered off it doesn't waste electricity burning any red led light. I figure if its off it should really be off lol I dont watch many dvds myself just wanted something to view bible scriptures on the tv and read along at night and for my grandson who can watch some dvds i bought for his mama when she was little so i didnt need anything elaborate. So far i like it and it is serving its purpose and was a bargain price. I hope it lasts.

Picked this up because it was inexpensive and small for the space I needed. WOW! What a shocker this was. Easy to set-up, easy menu to navigate, and what a picture! Bought this beginning of summer 2023, started malfunctioning and freezing, needing to be unplugged multiple times each play till I had to replace in November 2023. Such a cheap price, times are tight and I hoped it was a fluke/lemon so I bought a second one but it already started acting fussy by December so currently shopping around for a more costly, reputable brand replacement for when it completely fails, which I completely expect soon.

I picked this little unit up for only one reason: to be able to play UK DVDs I happened to find cheaply enough. And it accomplished that perfectly. It's by no means the best DVD player you'll ever find (you'll want to buy a Sony if quality is your concern) but to play DVDs region-free (and to avoid the increasingly greedy and restrictive streaming services that let you own nothing) it's a great value. Definitely recommended.

The up scaling on this little guy is pretty cool. I have a ton of old DVDs from before even 720 was a thing, so to see Seinfeld look crisp was really neat! It’s compact, and looks great against a white wall. Obvi it has HDMI output so you’re not married to messing with RCA. If you still have old physical media, the price point on this makes it very worth it!
