I used these to grind down stumps so they could be mowed over. For that task, they worked fantastic. I don't like getting my chainsaw in the dirt as parts are expensive, these are relatively inexpensive and actually last better than I thought they would. Obviously dirt will dull them over time and rocks will take the edge right off but if you clear the area you can get about 3-5 12' stumps ground down before they get to dull to use. When they dull on the bottom, you can flip the grinder and get a little more life using the top side of the chain. I believe they can be sharpened in a chain saw sharpener but I'm not sure the chain is long enough to fit correctly.

I found these while browsing on Amazon, and used them on an angle grinder to take down some small stumps in the yard. It was extremely effective, but I removed one star because they wore down rapidly. It is likely the nature of the device since it is running at high speed with so few cutters, and nothing negative about this brand. I am glad 5 were included as I went through them all. It accomplished the job though very effectively.

It's a little tricky, tightening it on grinder. The chain will squirrel around and try to get stuck between the plates or fall off. Practice will cure that. With all cutting tools there are dangers. This is no exception. You need to keep your wits about you and have disc pulling away from your body parts. If you snag toward yourself it will cut flesh much faster than wood. With that said...It cuts far better than expected. Just plan depth and length of cuts (like for making bowls) and always show it respect. With this, you can carve large amounts of material in a short time. Sorry about the long winded disclaimer but us shade tree carvers and fools need a heads up now and then so we can live to buy another tool.

Don’t take the clips off before mounting on you grinder. But you can save hundreds grinding your own stumps.

This wheel works as advertised. I wore welding gloves and managed to hit the glove 3 times during use. It no doubt would have been an ER trip without gloves. Wheel does not care if it is a tree limb or finger, it will cut.

Worked great the first time used. When taking them off the grinder, the units fell apart. Excellent concept, unfortunate reuse potential. Benefit of buying a multi-paxk I guess.
