  • Aplus Water is a very great business to buy this from. They really make sure you are taken care of.
Size: 40,000 Color: Black
Ordered one day, and the next day get a notification that the item has been shipped. Arrived sooner than promised and expected. Went to have the softer installed, and wouldn't you know - the manufacturer missed putting one of the little clamp pieces on it. I called Aplus Water and they were just incredible how nice and quick they were in getting me the piece I needed. Very empathetic and a true, good small business that wants to so right from start to finish. I would highly recommend buying with confidence from them. Oh - and the product is super nice too. ... show more

  • Great product
Size: 64,000 Color: Blue
After some issues with UPS (and great customer service by my manufacturer), received the product. Install was easy and customer service was there to answer my few questions. Tested my water and it definitely shows water is no longer hard. Highly recommended!

  • Very satisfied with the 5600 SXT 64K
Size: 64,000 Color: Almond
This replaced the old style manual 5600 so was pretty easy to plumb in. Came pre-loaded with 10% resin. I upgraded the cheap, 1/2" plastic drain hose barb to brass 5/8" as I have a fairly long run to the discharge site. I used two 3/4" braided stainless water heater hoses for connection. Ensure the bends aren't too sharp or they'll start to flatten out and may partially restrict water flow. If that happens you will definitely notice it when running water inside your home. That said, I haven't noticed any pressure difference. Was in the shower last night and had my wife flush the toilet, I still didn't notice any fluctuation. It's fairly easy to program, but I highly recommend you read the manual a time or two first. You will need to know the hardness of your water before programming. Use quality test strips, or get a digital total dissolved solids meter like I have on my RO filters. I used both and went with the average. Alternatively, you can always send a water sample to a lab for testing. Once operational, it took a couple of days to feel the full effect of the softened water. Last I checked, it's producing water with 20 ppm TDS (according to the test strip). In the past I've used salt pellets. I've read that they can possibly cause issues with gumming things up. This time I went with crystal salt. Time will tell. The softener has been online for only one week and I still have 2000 gallons to go before the next regeneration which I have set at 12:00 midnight. This will be its first auto regen. At this rate, it appears it will need to regen once every three weeks or so. But then, it's just me and my wife using it. I can already feel a difference in my skin, it's not nearly as dry and itchy feeling. I really like this softener. I believe the price is very good compared to some of the others out there and would definitely buy it again. I highly recommend it. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Pretty Good
Size: 64,000 Color: Black
The Pros & Cons. Pros Cleans the water well!!! I live in an area which has a ridiculously high calcium content. My faucets had to be replaced every 2 year because of the build up and this unit eliminated the problem. We also had a chlorine taste and that is gone. 100% happy with the way it treats the water!!! Cons It is loud. Not a little noisy, it is a very loud system when it is treating the water. I have it installed in my backyard about 20ft from my bed and I hear it when it turns on at night. I set the unit according to the instruction given to me. I think the instructions are wrong. They recommend running the flushing system 3 times more often then how I use it. I have check the water almost every week for close to a year now. I use the different test strips and "If you chose the correct size system" running it once a week or even twice a month is crazy. You go through a ridiculous amount of salt and the water isn't any cleaner. I run mine once a month and that is plenty. Spend the time to run your own experiments to give you the results you want! They have made too many program changes to this model with adding a suffix or something which clearly identifies the difference. I have not checked recently but when I bought this system there was literally 6 different programming videos for the same system and they all had subtle differences in the programming itself which has got to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life. I had to stop count to 10 then call the people who sold it to me to get the correct video link. Summary I like the unit. It works well but there is some trial and error which you will endure! ... show more
