I picked up the DUMOS countertop ice maker as a solution for our office break room, where our fridge has no built-in ice maker and folks always seem to be hunting down cubes come lunchtime. After about a month of use, I’ve received good feedback both good and bad from my office mates. First off, the machine is genuinely easy to use. You fill the reservoir, press a button, and it starts cranking out bullet-style ice cubes in just a few minutes. I wouldn’t say it hits the advertised “9 cubes in 6 minutes” mark every time, it’s usually closer to 8–9 minutes per cycle, but it’s fast enough that if you’re using the ice as it’s made, you’ll have what you need without much waiting. Plus, the small footprint is great for tight spaces. It fits neatly on a little rolling cart in the corner of our kitchen, and the built-in handle makes it easy to move around if needed. The ice itself is soft, chewable, and doesn’t clump up like the stuff from some larger machines. You can select between “small” and “large” cubes, though honestly, the size difference is minimal. Even the “large” cubes are still pretty petite. That’s fine for drinks, but if you’re trying to fill a cooler or keep a bunch of seafood chilled this isn't your solution. The ice also melts faster than you’d expect, even in a well-insulated cup. The self-cleaning feature is a nice touch. You just hold the power button and let it run through its cleaning cycle. Simple enough. I’ve been running the clean mode about once a week, and so far the inside still looks spotless. The noise level is also reasonable. It's quieter than a dishwasher and about on par with a mini fridge kicking on. Where I do have some concerns is long-term durability. I haven’t experienced it personally, but I did read a few reviews mentioning early failures. One user said it quit after just a couple days and started blowing warm air, so that’s in the back of my mind. If this unit holds up over the next few months I’ll consider it a win. I wouldn’t be shocked if it turned out to have a shorter lifespan than some more expensive models. All in all, for everyday use in small households, RVs, or office setups where you just want a steady supply of fresh ice it’s a handy little machine. It’s not going to replace a commercial unit or stock a cooler , but it gets the job done for casual, daily use. Just be realistic about what it’s built to do, and you’ll probably end up just as happy with it as I am.

It took me a while before deciding to get an ice maker. I generally don't use ice in my drinks, but sometimes I need ice for a blended drink and I usually don't have any on hand and have to wait at least 3hrs for my ice cube tray to freeze up. This makes 2 different sized ice bullets although there's not really a huge size difference between them. I was a little confused by the operation instructions and it took me some fiddling before I fully understood what they meant and how to get the self-cleaning function going. I don't know about the 6 minutes per 9 ice cubes, but it took a bit over 3hrs to use up all the water in the chamber. Which at first I thought was a long time, but then remembered it takes 3hrs to get 16 from an ice cube tray. So a full gallon bag of little ice bullets in 3hrs is pretty good. I also like the size of the ice cubes because I can give them to my pup without concern over him potentially chipping a tooth (choking is still a possibility, but they'd likely melt before any real damage is done). Overall, the ice maker is pretty easy to use, looks nice, has a self cleaning function, and makes pretty good ice.

Does make ice cubes without taking up much counter space or needing to put trays in freezer. The ice cubes are on the small size, with very little difference in the sizes. The cubes are kind of U shaped (open at one end and hollow) so they seem to melt faster than solid cubes. The basket that holds the cubes as they are made is fine, but as they sit, they start to melt. although at least the water just drips into the water well to make more cubes.

I love this ice maker!!! It’s about the size of an air fryer so it fits perfectly on your counter. It’s quiet so it’s not an annoyance to have on the counter. The ice makes quickly, which was amazing to me. Every few minutes a few ice cubes would make and fill into the bucket so even though it doesn’t fit, a lot of ice already made it refills quickly so the fact that the ice holding container is small is a moot point. It has small or large for the choice and size of the ice cubes. It’s also easy to clean and has a clean function button as well. I can’t recommend this enough.

This thing is able to churn out the entire batch of ice in about 3 1/2 hours from my use. This thing has worked perfectly since day one and the options for both small and large are a great asset, especially when preparing for a party or when you're just wanting to have extras on hand for things like seafood or smoothies. I live in an apartment, and the design of this is very apartment friendly, as that handle easily let's me put this between the counter and under my bar furniture. Like the other reviews have said, this thing will start to make its first batch of ice about 10 minutes after turning it on, and about every six to 8 minutes after that. Overall, I'm really satisfied and genuinely can't believe that this thing is as cheap as it is. It actually resembles a copycat design of the one The Wirecutter recommends in its "best buy" recommendation!

Does the job. I've been waiting to review for a couple months in hopes to review the self-cleaning part, but it hasn't been getting visibly dirty like my old ice maker (or maybe it's run cycles when I wasn't looking). But anyway provides ice, looks nice, no discoloration issues. One thing to be aware of- if you don't keep the water filled it'll shut off and you need to hit the restart with you put more water in rather than sensing it. Not a big deal, but if you've got kids who take the ice and don't refill themselves, it's a step to remember when you add water.

My fiance has been begging me to get us an ice maker for months, so when I saw this little guy I knew I had to snag one. We've been using it every day since and it's held up nicely. It can be a little loud sometimes, especially if it's really quiet in your home, otherwise the noise isn't bad at all. Has pretty much the same pros and cons any other countertop ice maker would have. Cons are going to be it only makes a handful of ice cubes at a time, and they are small. However, it will make a full basket which is enough to fill up a 20-30Oz tumbler cup. It's also good ice, easy to chew if you're someone who likes eating the ice after you finish your drink. Very much recommending this little ice maker.
