The media could not be loaded. We bought five DuMaiWay 48" Chandelier Ceiling Fans with Lights and retractable blades when we moved into our new home. We live in Oahu Hawaii and we ran our AC almost every day but we also like to have our fans running. The chandeliers are beautiful, and silent, but not effortless when it comes to installation. Like anything in life, good things require time, attention to detail, and perseverance. The company made a recent improvement to these fans and install the black box that works with the remote inside the fan. When initially bought the first four fans, we needed to slide the black boxes inside the ceiling bracket and connect the wires. Not anymore. We bought the last chandelier with the updated system and it really made a difference and made it easier to install. We also have high inclined ceilings in our new home. We contacted the company and we spoke with Bruce regarding the installation. Bruce sent us additional items to connect the two pols so you can use the inclined ceiling pols. It was not easy but it was worth it. My husband and I are not electricians but we figured out how to install and connect the wires after following the instructions. We needed two ladders when we got the ceiling up into the bracket. Once we got that there, it was ok. We also worked together to add the crystals. One was up on the ladder, the other one was opening the bags and preparing the crystals. Before we attached the canopy to the ceiling fan, the part that has rectangular squares, we nicely clean up the canopy inside and outside. We used a soft cloth and sprayed it with cleaning vinegar and removed all the prints. Please do it gently so you avoid any damage. The company put extra pieces in every box, in case some of the glass/crystal parts are broken. We found it very easy to replace them in case something was broken. We also used gloves so we don't leave prints on the crystals. The round crystals were attached after we placed the fan into the bracket and hook up the wires. All the fans are up and running, for now, it looks elegant, they are very quiet and enjoyable. The fans are also a particular set, a breezy set that is nice and pleasant if you like to use your fan for many hours. Although we have inclined high ceilings, they do not wobble, they do not move but the reflection of lights on the ceiling and the whole room is spectacular. Please contact the company if you want the dimmable system or high inclined ceilings. Do that before the purchase so they can prepare it for you. Thank you ... show more

This crystal light is just beautiful, having said that , I honestly have to say the light it emits is extremely bright. Just too much for a bedroom. I emailed customer service on a Sunday and they got back to me within a few hours. I agreed to purchase a $40 dimmer/ remote and they sent it out with the promise it would arrive within 18 days and it did! My husband installed it and still no dimming action. Again I emailed on a weekend and was surprised to hear back within a few hrs with instructions that unfortunately were not included in the new unit. Directions followed and light now works perfectly. This light is not easy to install-my Hubby is a skilled handy man and had trouble. Look on UTube for videos, ask customer service- they are responsive and helpful. It's beautiful. I loved it until the fan stop working. I was told by the electrician that the motor ran out. It's a possibility the motor wasn't good. I'm angry because ceiling fans do not stop working in only a year. I have to pay him to remove the he old one and pay installation for the new. I have other ceiling fans in my home and I've had them well over 10 yrs and they are in perfect condition working fine. I've also read there are other complaints with the same issue. ... show more

Finally got my ceiling fan hung after arriving 2 months ago (LIFE!). It was fairly easy to install though my light box was wired for individual switches for fan and light and the fan came with both wired together. This means I have to leave my light switch on for both fan and light and use the remote control to turn on/off or adjust. Not a problem for me but just something to be aware of. The fixture itself is gorgeous in my primary bedroom overall. I wanted a more elegant looking light but definitely needed a fan to go with it. This fits the bill perfectly. The only thing I will comment negatively about is the excessive brightness of the lights - they are a bright cool white light that reminds me of stadium lights. It would be nice if they send warm white bulbs or let you adjust the light temperature via the remote as well. I took a star for that as it is sooooo bright. I do have other lamps in my room for ambient light and will only use the ceiling light occasionally so overall, YES - I would recommend to others. ... show more

very easy to install following the video and instructions, only three wire white, black and copper. the fan is super quiet and you don't even know it's on except for the breeze. Love the "yellow" light as it reflects off the wall I painted with gold foil paint. It looks beautiful in my bedroom. The fan blades curl in when off so you don't have to see them.
