I ordered this for some upcoming travel, wanting a small portable alarm clock so I wouldn’t be relying on my phone at night. This fits the bill perfectly. Pop in a AA battery and it’s ready to go. There’s even a ribbon under the battery, which will make it easy to remove when it’s time to replace it. It has glow-in-the-dark markers that are easy to see without being disruptive like some digital displays. If I need to check the time in the middle of the night, a quick press of the snooze button lights up the face without being too bright. I like the smooth second hand, so no ticking sound. The alarm starts low and gradually increases, which helps ease out of sleep instead of jolting awake. It feels solid and well-constructed, and I’m happy to have it in my travel bag. ... show more

The fact that you can hit it and get an automatic nightlight is comforting without being babyish, and the green numbers offer some sense of security as well. The clear numbers are easy to show her how to read an analog clock. It seems well built for what it is. It’s difficult today to find a simple alarm clock.
