  • SEEMS TO BE A GOOD BUY
JUST RECEIVED THE SCOOTER,ASSEMBLY WAS REALLY EASY.THE ONLY PROBLEM THERE ISN'T ANY PLACE IN THE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO UNLOCK THE FRONT WHEEL.I PLAYED AROUND WITH IT AWHILE AND THEN PULLED ON IT AND IT SNAPPED INTO AN OUTER POSITION.ME AND THE WIFE LAUGHED OUT HEADS OFF.WHY COULDN'T THEY PUT THAT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS.IT'S KINDA HARD TO PLUG THE AC CONNECTOR INTO THE BATTERY,BUT IT'S NOT THAT HARD.IT STATES IN THE MANUAL THAT YOU MUST CHARGE FOR 6 TO 9 HOURS BEFORE FIRST USE,BUT MY SCOOTER CAME FULLY CHARGED.I RODE IT AROUND THE HOUSE AND IT RIDS NICE.I HAVEN'T TRIED TO LOAD IT IN MY TRUNK YET,SO I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW THAT WORKED OUT.BYE THE WAY THE SCOOTER COMES WITH A WARRANTY.BATTERY 6 MONTH AND DIFFERENT PARTS DIFFERENT TIMES. I RECOMMEND REGISTERING THE SCOOTER RIGHT AWAY FOR FULL WARRANTY PROTECTION.I'M SURE IT WILL FIT MY NEEDS FOR GOING SHOPPING AND BALL PARKS AND THINGS OF THAT NATURE.I DON'T PLAN ON RIDING IT ON STREETS. Well It doesn't ride well on our front yard rocks,it only works on a flat surface. I have a Buick Cascada 2016 and i got the scooter in the trunk, but In the fall I'm not going to be able to put the top down with the scooter in it.I had to take it far more apart then 5 pieces just to get it in,had to remove handles from seat, lower seat tube, and remove the basket mounting two screws. That's why I took a star away.I still believe it will come in handy on trips and if we take the wife's SUV.I had to go back to 5 stars, this scooter is great,I haven't been able to go inside Costco for 3 years, and it only took me 10 mins to put it together and 5 mins. to take apart. After we got home we did transfer it into my wife's suv,but only because I want to put the top down when it cools off,and we take her suv on all trips anyway, and if I need it I can just take her car.Anyway I'm more than happy with the way this scooter performs and after an hour of riding around the battery was still fully charged. When we got home, all I needed to bring in the house is the battery pack to keep it charged.I attached pictures,It's pretty quick, I only had it turned up half was and was buzzing around pretty good, and you can see I'm not a small guy.I did leave the handles off I see no real reason for them, and in Vegas when we rented a scooter i always left the handles up anyway. ... show more

  • Pretty solid
First of all, I purchased this on here for $551 in July of 2017, and it's now listed for $799, two months later. That's a pretty massive jump in cost, but I'm reviewing the scooter for what I myself paid at the time, which I felt was great value. Anyway, it's pretty great. As another wise reviewer on here noted, it's difficult to review scooters because it depends what you need it to do/compensate for, but this one worked wonderfully. In terms of driving/handling, it's very adequate for any store (the three-wheel version will give the ability to make tighter turns than the four-wheeler but will feel less stable than the four-wheeler on non-flat terrain), and if there's anything you should know in advance with emphasis it's that there aren't any shocks. Hard plastic tires plus no shocks = pretty rough ride to the extent it goes over any bumps, so I recommend getting a cushion for the seat to take the edge off that. As for assembly and its ease of being transported, it's exactly as advertised. Very comfortably fit in my trunk, and the only thing that took some getting used to was the reassembly of the two main base pieces. That's the only part that feels other than foolproof and maybe even a little trying at first. But all in all, this scooter did exactly what I needed it to do, and I felt it was a tremendous buy at the price. Now that it's priced what it is, you'll have to determine whether it's worth that much. ... show more

  • Great scooter for the money, but be sure you know how and where you will use it.
It is difficult to rate scooters because it depends entirely on what you use them for. I give this scooter four stars because it seems to live up to manufacturer claims in every aspect, but it is a 3 wheeler and that inherently makes it less stable. All 3 wheel scooters will tip if you aren't careful and the smaller and lighter they are, the more likely they are to tip. If you avoid driving them on slopes and avoid making sharp corners at higher speeds you should be perfectly safe, just be aware that that little front wheel doesn't offer you the stability that two front wheels can offer This is my second scooter. I have a bigger one for longer distance travel over rougher terrain and this one for more portability and travel inside stores and clinics. The clearance from ground to deck is low, so if you hit many obstacles you could easily find yourself hung up. My bigger scooter has a five inch clearance, this one is probably a couple of inches less. Also, the small wheels make it more difficult to maneuver in grass or sand. If you plan on using your scooter outside the home and around neighborhoods or to visit places like Disney World be aware that the lack of clearance could be a huge problem especially if you are alone. A good rule of thumb is this, if there are no curb cuts where you are going it is likely your Scout will get hung up somewhere. Recently we took our Scout on a Caribbean cruise and it was great for getting around the ship. When we went ashore we got around fine unless there were bumps, potholes or uneven ground. I would reserve driving this or any other scooter with less than 5 inches of clearance to malls, and other venues that have flat, unobstructed surfaces for you to ride on. It is highly portable, easy to assemble and disassemble and faster by far than those supermarket carts. It is solidly built and my few experiences driving it (I've only had it a week) have been excellent. It is amazingly powerful for such a small scooter. If you plan on using it in the evening you should know it has no lights and one small reflector in the rear. Also, the front basket is small, so don't plan on carrying a whole lot. Bottom line is this. If you are going to use it to shop, to travel around Disney World or on a cruise ship it should be fine. If you plan heavier use you might be disappointed because that's' not what it was built for. I like this scooter and plan to keep it for a long time. I can enthusiastically endorse it if used for the purposes I suggested. Post Script. It is now several months postp purchase and I can stand by my original review. This scooter is an exceptional buy for a small vehicle. I am a senior citizen who visits the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida often. It is a huge, sprawling facility and often appointments can be a couple of blocks away. This scooter eliminates the need to find a wheelchair, someone to push it and the stress of trying to be on time for appointments. Furthermore, we don't have to park in disabled parking because the scooter will take me any distance and we can leave the disabled parking space open for those who really need to be close to the door. My wife can easily lift the individual pieces of the scooter out of our mini-van and assemble it in no more than two minutes and we are on our way. We've taken it many places since the original purchase and still believe it was the absolute right buy. Just remember, if you are going to use it on perfectly flat surfaces, floors, sidewalks etc it will be fine, if there are any obstacles like curbs (even small ones) you likely will get hung up. If you plan on driving your scooter on uneven surfaces then I would opt for one with at least a 5 inch clearance between the deck of the scooter and the road surface. Anything less will be a problem. ... show more
