Wanted a quiet, no fan, radiant heater that turns off and on as needed to maintain a temperature. This unit fit the bill. Used it to heat a 400 sq ft room in Arizona winter in bedroom with no central heat. Overnight lows normally low to mid-30's to low 40's. The unit does the job, does not over heat the room, shuts off when thermostat temp reached, then on when temp drops. Make on/off click but no noise as it has no fan.     • Consistent heat

I’ve had this thing plugged in and running literally 24/7 for the past month set at 68 degrees, and it has kept my cold basement music studio room between 66 and 69 degrees every day depending on how much the air conditioning is blasting. Before, this room would consistently be in the mid to high-50s — not hospitable at all, and not good for my guitars. The great thing about this heater is that you set the temperature, and then never have to worry about it again — it automatically clicks on and off to keep the room at a consistent temperature (within a couple degrees). It does have some clicks and pops as mentioned in other reviews, but I barely notice it. That said, I’m in a carpeted room with things covering the walls, so I can see how a room with hardwood floors and bare walls might make it sound loud. Also, the offgassing took longer than I expected — about 3-4 days of constant use. Letting it run full blast for a couple of hours was insufficient to get rid of the offgassing smell, and I just had to live with it for a few days. It smelled like a furnace smells after not being used for all summer… kind of a generic burning odor. Not pleasant, but not horrible. After that 3-4 days, absolutely no smell at all — just nice consistent heat filling up the room. Also, I have a humidity gauge in the room, and I noticed the humidity dropped about 5-10% once the temperature normalized. For me, this is actually a good thing, as I was in the 55-60% range, which is getting pretty wet. Now I’m averaging right at 50% with the heater on constantly, which is actually right where I want it for my guitars.     • Good electric radiator but not silent

It's a decent electric radiator and for the price point, it works well. Don't expect it to warm a room in minutes because it cannot do that. This is a radiator that you put in a small to medium room and turn it on in advance or let it run for longer periods of time. I have used it in a medium sized bedroom (about 250 sq ft) for the past month in winter and it worked fine. The plastic wheels are a bit difficult to shove on and don't expect them to come off again, but you won't have issues with them becoming loose. As stated, the placement may or may not be an issue given the controls are on one short side (which if you use the remote control, must be facing it. The plug does have a slight warmth to it after use, but I've never felt it get unusually warm or hot. The metal shell obviously gets hot to the touch so make sure you have room for it. It has a slot for lifting it on the side, but it would have been much better to have an actual handle you can grip for easier moving (especially when it's on. A very annoying issue, which may affect you depending on how cold it gets and where you use this, is that it most certainly is not silent. The thermostat makes a distinct clicking noise whenever it turns on/off, so if it's cold, expect it to click more often as it tries to maintain temperature. The second noise is related to it being a radiator in that the metal will make infrequent groans/snaps as it expands from the heat (this can actually be louder than the thermostat noise when its real cold). So if you're looking for something completely silent, or hate intermittent noise, you might want to think about your purchase. Though if you live in a noisy area, don't mind some mild clicks and metal groans, or plan to use this where you don't care about the small noise, then it's still a good electric heater. Since I use to live in a busy city where the bus stopped right outside, it's something I don't mind as much, but I just want others to know what they're potentially getting. Overall, it's a solid electric radiator for the price and I would give it a solid 3.5/5 if I could. ... show more

I really like this heater. I enjoy how it warms up the whole room. It works very well and is easy to use. I also like the safety features. It will turn off it gets to hot or falls over. I am happy with it.

    • Sleek, Silent warmth

I had a heater with a fan for many years and the noise gets tiresome. But this heater is completely silent. And it's much sleeker than other oil-filled radiator heaters, with the flat sides also meaning it doesn't get as hot on the exterior. Because it's oil-filled it takes longer to heat up than a heater with a fan, but once it's heated (maybe five minutes), it gently warms your room--and saves energy because the oil holds the heat even without needing constant electricity. The thermostat works really well, and I use the eco mode so the heater can decide how much power it needs. The remote is simple, you can turn off the beep (thank you!) The timer works two ways--when the heater's running the timer can turn it off in a given time. When the heater's off, you can set the timer to turn it on and warm your room before you get home. Handy that it works both ways. I'm very happy with this heater and am glad I switched from my fan heater to this silent one--it's much more pleasant. ... show more
