This clock is really perfect. The design is really nice, it’s dimmable and I can see it perfectly from across the room at night. Large enough numbers yet the profile of the clock isn’t enormous. The red digits do not cast a glow like blue or white. I do not use the alarm so I can’t comment on that.

I got this for my computer desk to sit under my monitors as a larger way to tell time when I'm gaming. I like that it lights up in white, matching the lighting in my gaming rig. It's easy to set up, easy to read, has all the regular alarm clock features, and a battery backup (2 AA's, not included). It even has a USB port on the back so you can charge a device if needed. I am very pleased with this. It is compact, lightweight, and the alarm is easy to set an appropriate in sound level. I like the dimmer feature very much. I know most people are using their phones now for alarms, but I don’t like keeping my phone in the bedroom unless I have to so having an actual clock is much nicer. I also don’t have to worry about it. Running out of charge or beeping notifications in the middle of the night. I was surprised at how nice looking this is. The blue color is great, it’s bright, but it’s not overwhelming. I didn’t want something that would bother my eyes having it near the TV. It’s really pretty. The box itself is really pretty. The blue light is really pretty. It’s a nice size so you can see it from across the room. But as I said, the light isn’t too strong and the color isn’t too strong so that it blends in nicely with the rest of the room. And it really is a very pretty light blue. Very cool clock with a clean appearance. It plugs into the wall but also has a battery to keep time in the event of a power outage. However the display turns off during the outage but any alarms set will still sound.
