I use this clock in my bedroom. I am hard of hearing and cannot hear the alarm go off. I ordered the clock because the blurb on the Amazon page said it was auto setting. I am not sure what they mean by that. I bought it because it does not lose time during a power outage, however the time is not set by any NIST or internet time server. The time is set at the factory and uses a battery to keep the time function working during a power outage. That part of the blurb is correct, and that is why the clock shows almost the correct time when it is first on electrical power. The one I received was two minutes behind the the one on my phone. It has been keeping the time accurately since that time. The display is 100% controllable and can be dimmed to nothing or turned up so bright that it dazzles the eyes, especially in a darkened room. The problem is that there is no automatic adjustment of the brightness. That is pretty standard feature of most L.E.D displays, i.e. when it gets dark an auto intensity sensor should be there and dim the display when it gets dark in the room, and brighter when the room is lighted. I have to turn the intensity down at night so it will not blind me at night, then have to turn it up when the light comes, else the display will be almost unreadable. Glenn in NC

This clock has everything I could want from a table clock display without becoming too crowded. The only thing that disappoints me is that it doesn't have a radio built in. Instead it appears to be able to connect to my smart phone (or other device) using Bluetooth, but this is an issue for Amazon to resolve because when I search for a "Table top clock radio", devices like this shouldn't be included in the results. With that said, this clock is great, especially for the price. If you don't need/want a radio built into your table top clock, this is a great choice. It's not a space hog and it is very easy to read, even from across a large room, not to mention that it's very light-weight too. I have it perched on top of the box it came in at the far-back corner of the night stand in my bedroom for now (I'll make a little wooden stand for it when I have time), so I can see it over the sundry other items I keep there. If you need a table top clock, and you don't need a radio built into it, I can recommend this one with no reservations, Ernie

The quick rundown: Likes: Dimmer. It is a true 0-100% dimmer, and it can get very bright. Large Display. It is still easy to read the time when it is very dim due to the size of the time. Temp display. Display looks crisp and clean. USB port on the back. Dislikes: Not truly and auto setting clock, it is a preset clock. This is not an atomic clock (read below for more). Dimmer, It is backwards. (See below review) Looks cheap. It was in the $20 range when I bought it and it looks & feels every bit as if it is a $20 clock. Lacks 12/24 hour time option, it is only 12; I like 24 hour time. This will not be much of an issue for most normal folks. I had searched for atomic clocks and this was one that came up. The way the item description reads one would believe it sets itself, this is NOT the case. The clock comes preset from the factory and has a 3v lithium battery that keeps the time. When the clock is plugged in, it turns on the display and will show the correct time in the eastern standard time, you need to set it to your time zone. The instruction manual says that this will change when DST changes, well, if the US changes when DST occurs or it is no longer used, then the auto feature won't work properly because it is NOT an atomic clock. You can disable the DST feature. Another gripe is a head scratcher, it is the dimmer switch being backwards. To dim or brighten the display, you reach over the top of the clock and there is a wheel that you rotate up and down to adjust the brightness. If you rotate it down, it brightens the display, if you rotate it up, you dim the display. Why? Who in the world would think that down is bright and up is dim? The manufacturer could just as easily installed the dimmer the opposite direction, this is just lazy R&D. My biggest reason for the 3 stars is the misleading description on the "auto" feature. It is a descent clock for what you are spending, but I don't love it. My past clock was atomic and I really like that feature now.

I like the large blue numbers and the size of the clock. I live in Texas. Clock is always behind 1 minute. Temp is not accurate. I tested the temp with another atomic clock that I had and no matter where I put it, the DreamSky was always 3 to 4 degrees higher. It seems that when I adjusted the dim switch down, the degrees went down 1 degree. Put it on the highest setting and it read 1 degree higher. I also tested this with a temp gage and it confirmed my test. So I would have to say that the heat of the clock affected the temp reading.

I purchased another atomic clock to place on top of my cable box that didn't have a clock but it didn't have a backlight so we couldn't see it with the room lights off. I don't keep my phone next to me to check the time so I ordered this clock. It's perfect with the luminated numbers that are easy to see. This clock set itself once activated and that made it a surprising plus. Also the date, indoor temp are easy to see.

This clock gave me the exact time, date and temperature as soon as I first plugged it in. I live in the Eastern time zone so it was easy for me. It is not difficult to adjust if you live in a different time zone. The best part is that all the readings come right back after a power outtage or if it gets unplugged, so no need to reset at all. Alarm sound could be a bit louder. Don't think the volume is adjustable for that. Since I don't have a clock on my DVR anymore, I put this clock on my entertainment center, right under the TV. Brightness is not a problem, it can be turned down to suit you. I have had it for a month now and it has kept perfect time. All in all it is a keeper!!
