I picked this up to handle a few stubborn clogs around the house and it worked better than expected. The auto-feed feature makes it much easier than traditional drain snakes, you just rotate the drum and the cable feeds in and out smoothly without having to force it. It had no trouble navigating bends in the pipes. The 25 foot steel cable feels solid and flexible at the same time. It reached past the trap and cleared out buildup that other tools couldn’t, which saved me from having to call a plumber. It bends easily without kinking and feels durable enough for repeated use. I also like that it doesn’t rely on harsh chemicals. It’s safer for the pipes and gets the job done just as well. The pistol grip is comfortable to hold and makes the whole process less of a hassle. I’ve used it on bathroom sinks, the shower drain, and the kitchen sink with great results. Overall, it’s a reliable, easy-to-use drain snake that’s well worth having on hand.

Having a lever instead of a set screw makes this easier to use than my old drain snake. Easy to use by hand or powered by a drill. When the lever is locked, turning clockwise will extend the snake and anti-clockwise will reel it in. Seems durable and should hold up over years of use.

A good light weight drain Auger, This is a good home do it yourself drain clog remover. I used this device to remove debris from my downspouts drain which became clogged with pine needles and leaves. Fortunately my obstruction was less than 25 ft down the pipe the length of this device. With this device and my garden hose I was able to clear the drain pipe in about 5 minutes. I think actually this would work better in a 1 1/2” or 2” pipe my pipe was 4” in diameter which made the drain auger move side to side alot but it eventually dislodged the clog anyway. This drain auger is of sufficient construction to do what it is designed to do. I dinged one star because I think 25’ is marginal length in most cases in a home drain. So if you are looking for a fairly inexpensive home drain Auger I think this should be a good option for you. I believe this Drain auger will meet most do it yourself homeowners needs.

Nice drain snake with plenty of functionality. Has twenty fiver feet of flex cable to snake through your drain. Probably not ideal for ninety degree elbows but forty five degree elbows should be no problem. Includes handy gloves which rubber and not cloth so that is another plus. Unwinding and winding up the snake is easy with the handle on the drum backing but also includes a bit on it incase you want to use your handy drill. Feels well built and has a heft to it. Also compact enough in size that it doesn't feel too bulky. I would recommend this a valuable tool for your garage.

This is a standard auger with a drill head that allows you to spin the snake and clear more automatically than winding with hand. THe snake is adequate for smaller jobs, but will not do anything like tree roots or needs serious cutting power. If you have standard clogs that need physical agitation, this is a great option. 25ft of length is a good amateur’s size, anything more, i would heavily recommend something motorized.

This is an auger that attaches to your drill or you can use with the hand crank. The instructions are weak but they do note that if you pull the cable all the way out, it isn't attached at the end and can come all the way out but if that happens to just push it back in. I guess it engages by wrapping around something inside the drum. There is a lever on the front that in the down position allows free flor of the cable. When you latch it up it locks it to the drum and then as you turn the crank (wither manually or with a drill), clockwise is rotates the cable and slowly extends it out. Counterclockwise it retracts the cable. They also taped an instruction disk to the back of the auger that you can take off but I will leave on for now as it is a good reminder as I don't see this getting a lot of use. I tried it with my drill and by hand and it worked well both ways. Overall a good self contained retractable auger and I would buy it again.

Oh, you won't believe what I just got—my very own drain snake! Yes, a girl with hair long enough to rival Rapunzel's has finally succumbed to the dreaded tub clogging ritual. Once a year, I’m faced with the mortifying sight of the plumber pulling out what looks like a small animal from my drain. But not this year! With my brand-new drain snake in hand and instructions that are basically a comic book, I felt like a genius in five minutes flat. Seriously, it's super convenient, well-made, and very easy to use. I had to try it out even though I had no issues. Let me tell you, there’s something oddly satisfying about yanking out your own hair from the drain! I loved that they also included a pair of gloves! This thing is a game changer, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

My ability to guide the snake into the pipe was made much simpler by the auto-feed function, which eliminated the need for me to exert excessive effort or fight. A remarkable quantity of hair and debris was removed from the obstruction, which I was able to reach in a short period of time. Once again, water flowed without any obstructions, and the improvement was immediately apparent. The change was instantaneous. The ability of the wire to be both long and flexible was the aspect that struck me the most. Despite the fact that it was only 25 feet long, it readily stretched farther than I had anticipated, which filled me with confidence that I could also deal with more severe obstructions. Despite its flexibility, the wire is strong enough to burst through the obstruction while still being able to negotiate the bends in the pipes without becoming caught. The procedure was able to seem controlled rather than irritating as a result of the excellent balance achieved by it. Additionally, I decided to test it out on the bathroom sink, which had a problem with slower accumulation. It was the drill adapter that proved to be really useful in this situation. As a result of attaching it to my cordless drill, I was able to achieve more speed and power, hence reducing the amount of manual labor that I had to do. In a matter of minutes, the rotation was able to remove the obstruction, and the drain is now functioning normally once again. Having the ability to operate manually as well as with the assistance of a drill makes this instrument adaptable enough to be used in a variety of settings.
