This is a life changing product for newborns- the number of previous parents who have stopped us to complain that nothing like that existed for them is comical. It’s so easy to maneuver, the adjustable handle makes it easy and fun for siblings to push. It is extremely lightweight as a stroller, however, gets pretty heavy to hold as a car seat as the baby gets bigger. This can usually be mitigated by dropping the wheels and pushing it whenever possible. Only downside is that there is no cup holder/storage. You can buy the attachments but they’re a pain as they have to come off when you put the seat into the car base. It’s not a dealbreaker for us- we would buy this again, but I could see how it would be, especially for moms of multiples who have to bring large amounts of stuff with them. ... show more

We love our Doona. It's compact and easy to use once you get the hang of it. Fits great in our 4Runner, the door doesn't open all the way so it's a tad snug to get it in and out but light enough to do so. The ability to fold is SO COOL. We amaze people all the time when we take it out. and fold/unfold the wheels. We try to avoid taking it on walks to keep the tires from getting too worn but have gone down the street a ways with no issues. I am 5'11 and don't have a problem pushing it. It would be nice if it were a bit taller, but not bad enough to call it a negative. My 6'3 husband has no issues pushing it either. It's also such an attractive item. Only real negative is you can't carry anything else on it. There is a pack you can buy that guess under the seat I believe but you cannot hang anything from the handle without it wanting to fall towards you. ... show more

I have significant arthritis in my feet which would make carrying an infant car seat really difficult because of the extra weight. I absolutely love the Doona. It is easy to fold and even easier to unfold. It pops out of the base easily and isn’t overly heavy. The actual car seat structure is fantastic and feels really secure. There is no storage- but there is great options to add on (the knock offs work GREAT!) I’m 5’8 and the height isn’t an issue for me. My husband is over 6 foot and doesn’t mind it. The handle does have to be in a specific position in order to get it to fold so the first few times were difficult but after you have folded and unfolded a handful of times, it feels really easy, even when you have a baby in it. because of the bulk of the wheels when it’s folded, it can be a little bit cumbersome to get it in the car or out of the car but it’s a small price to pay for the convenience and portability overall. The only other negative would be that if the wheels get dirty of the stroller than it will obviously get your car dirty. You can buy protectors. This isn’t a big deal for us but I could see how it might be a problem for others. One thing I would consider, if you are having a C-section consider the wait restrictions during recovery. You may need assistance getting it in and out of the car in the mediate postpartum period during dr visits, etc. I just took my kiddo out instead of unfolding the entire stroller.     • Did I ever think a car seat would make me happy?
The answer is no but it sure does make life simpler. I looked up car seats forever. I was nervous about our first baby so I wanted to get a great car seat. The whole car seat and baby stroller industry is a joke. Generally not many products are made to adapt to a growing baby. If you find a great stroller then the baby seat does not adjust from infant to baby to child. If anything comes close you are generally paying for it. Then lets get into car seat bases, dear lord lets say we did and don't. Anyways here is my review. Pros 1 - The base is a breeze to use. Simply locks the seat into place and releases easily. 2 - The ability to strap the seat without a base. It is easy to do as also. 3 - It turns into a freaking stroller. It does so with ease. 4 - Safety. The handle adjusts to help with impacts to secure the car seat. 5 - Maneuverability. This stroller turns on a dime, very fluent. 6 - Ability to travel on a plane. Pros/Cons 1 - If you are tall (well over 6') you might not enjoy the handle on the stroller. If you are smaller or a medium person by height this is perfect. 2 - Comfort. My infant finds it to be very comfortable, then again we did add more padding. Cons 1 - Price. Yep the price. 2 - When releasing the button to turn the seat into a stroller jars a bit. So I made sure to set the car seat down first then turn it into a stroller. 3 - Lack on storage. You have to buy accessories to clip onto the stroller from the company. 4 - Weight. It is not light but from what other parents have told me that most car seats never feel light and are a pain to lug around. For me I have no problem. My wife finds it to be heavy. Overall I love this car seat stroller freak of nature. I could not imagine not using this, every car seat should have this function. If one finds it too heavy simple stop lugging the car seat around and turn it into a stroller. It's built well and meant to be a little abused. I also like the peace of mind that it was certified by the US and EU standards, it has passed many tests as it states on the part stickers all over the Doona. I find it funny how I hesitated to purchase this. If I came to the same situation again I would buy this hands down again and again. ... show more
