Buy this seat! The recline options and no rethread harness already make it amazing but the canopy is a 12/10! It was perfect for rear facing baby so we didn’t have to use window covers. Toddler loved it for using the sunshade whenever she was ready and putting it away when she didn’t. I appreciate how easy it is to adjust the canopy height. The overall seat fit is good and child always looked comfortable. It was somewhat crowded behind the driver’s seat of a Ford Explorer in rear facing mode. We recently switched to the seatbelt function (have had this seat a couple years now), and it offers a good fit with the car seat belt particularly with the seatbelt guide on the headrest. The seatbelt buckle in a Nissan Armada in the car’s seat crack isn’t covered by the seat’s lower base so buckling for the child is easy. Can’t speak on how easy it is for the child to do it on their own as we haven’t done that yet. This is an excellent seat for going through all of the phases. It will be the last seat you buy, and at a reasonable price point. I recommend to all my friends looking for a new booster/convertible seat ... show more

Absolutely love this car seat. Easy to install and remove, latches are easy to clip and unclip. Great quality and head support. The functionality of different levels of recline/hight/ and the sun vizier are great. Love the different levels makes it comfy for baby. Is on the bigger side of seats also

My grandson was 7'12oz at birth... He is currently 12 lb. This seat is PERFECT for him... With the recline feature he doesn't slump over cutting his oxygen off! His mom got a fancy (aka Expensive) infant seat with the base... It's nice and convenient because you can load the baby while indoors and carry it out of the car while still sleeping. But as a car seat (you know, the main purpose) it sucks because he is slumped. Plus the material feels better quality on mine. ... show more

I love this!! And so does my baby. It has an easy button to recline the chair for the convenience of your baby. The shade visor is amazing! And is definitely worth every penny. Your child can grow and the car seat definitely adjust to your child’s needs and comfortably. Super easy to set up and use.

I really like this product but wish I got a different one. Please understand though that I don’t have many comparisons, it’s not like you buy a different car seat like you would socks you aren’t thrilled about. Works well. The visor is GREAT for when the baby is smaller or naps, or sun. I like that there are two cup holders because she uses them for drinks, snacks or toys. Easy to clean but unthreading the straps is rough, well re-threading does. It is hard to get her in and out in either my small suv or my husband’s truck. I’m sure that will get easier as she’s more mobile. ... show more

By far the best car seat. We bought a second one that was Graco, but BabyTrend is waaaay better. Been using this for 2 years, multiple transitions of angle and shoulder height, rear and forward facing. So adjustable. Most importantly the seat belt itself is super smooth to loosen and tighten. It’s sad to Graco car seats (we have an older and a brand new one) both do not tighten all the way, has too much slack. My kid is safe in the BabyTrend for all stages. I especially like the ability to choose how much I want the car seat to be angled because even though a child is ready for forward facing, their heads can roll forward and choke themselves while the sleep.
