This is the best car seat I have found. I bought the blue one for my grandson a couple years ago, I loved it so much that I just got the pink one for my granddaughter. After trying a few carseats and returning them I got this one for the canopy feature. It's one of a kind. It is hard to install but so we're all the other ones I tried and returned. Car seats just suck to install. There is no way around it. I feel it is very safe and sturdy. It has more recline positions than the others in the same price range which is perfect for my car cause it has the seats that tilt back so stuff don't fall out but it makes rear facing baby seats lean forward more and this one is the only one I could get to recline back far enough. Which is why I returned the others. It does have large sides around the head but that is what makes it feel safer in a side impact crash. It's there to protect there little melons. It feels cushioned enough. My grandson has never complained about being in it. My granddaughter has not been in it yet. It just came. The straps are easy to adjust. I can't comment on the infant or premie adjustments as they used the portable infant seats until they out grew them. So we started using the big kid seats after that. If they get twisted you can easily see that and they are so much easier to fix than a reg car seat belt. It has been easy to clean so far. You spot clean it with a wet rag. I mean I'm not too worried about it anyways, it's not like you can sell these things after. They have expiration dates and most people know not to buy used carseats anymore. They are not safe as you can't trust that they haven't been in a car accident. The shoulder pads that come on it got some nonslip stuff on the back that seems to bother his neck. That is the only con I have found with this car seat. It has all the bells and whistles of a more expensive seat but for an affordable price. I would highly recommend this seat. The sun cover is by far my favorite feature. It comes off if you need it too. But it gets used too much for it to come off. I am so happy with his car seat! I love the way that it reclines back so my 16-month-old's head doesn't slump forward when she falls asleep and keeps her safe. The sun shade canopy is an excellent addition. The only thing I had trouble with was when I was installing it trying to get the seat to recline but I finally was able to get it. I’ve been a fan of BabyTrend for 20 years now. My newest seat is no exception. Love the pink highlights, cushion in all the right spots, and easy adjustments all around. Even with tinted windows the sun always finds a way to be in the wrong spot. The canopy fixes that issue.

I returned this car seat after having my 5yo try it out. It is really nice for younger children, I'd say for all rear seating kiddos. For forward seating kids I felt that the car seat is very stiff and sits too upward. My daughter wanted out right away. I really wanted to love this product because we travel often and the shade was a super bonus. The car seat would've been just too uncomfortable, especially for a cross country road trip. The cadillac of car seats. My baby is comfortable, sleeps well in the seat and it is very versatile. Beautiful color and easy to install whether rear or forward facing. I got her the pink one. Best feature is the shade, keeps her cool and the sun out of her face.

Bought for grandbaby. She loves it. So comfortable. Was hard figuring out how to install it but user error. The sunshade is nice as some don't have that. Love that it will grow with her. Got the anchors built in for extra safety.

I really like this car seat! I actually bought two but haven’t set the other one yet as I’m still pregnant with our next baby. They’re cute and efficient. I love that they fit different age groups so I don’t have to buy car seats again 😅 and the canopy is better than I imagined! Such a great purchase and reasonable price considering all the commodities. They are heavy which is the only inconvenient part, but what can you expect from a 4-in-1 carseat(?).
