  • This robotic cleaner works exceptionally well.
Size: Nautilus CC Plus Wifi
My package arrived at 6:54 PM . The robotic cleaner was unpackaged and operating within 10 minutes by 9:30 PM. My pool was. If you’re looking for a pool cleaner that actually works with no false claims by the manufacture. This is it this unit is made in Israel and is well-made well designed with two filter baskets that are easily removed, cleaned and placed back into the unit after trying three other models from three different manufacturers I am so happy to come up on this one. I have the cord unit that can clean continuously after programmed using the app. I haven’t use that feature yet but I’m looking forward to. I’m just excited to see the robot actually clean back-and-forth back-and-forth or there’s absolutely no debris on the bottom of my 50 foot pool. ... show more

  • Best pool cleaner we’ve ever owned!
Size: Nautilus CC Plus Wifi + Caddy
The Dolphin pool cleaner is the real deal! We used to have the Polaris 360, and it was such a pain to deal with—I wish we had gotten the Dolphin from the start! It leaves our 20x40 pool absolutely spotless and is so easy to use. I can now maintain the pool myself with no more manual vacuuming. The amount of sand it picked up was unbelievable—our old cleaner never truly got the job done. This vacuum is amazing, and I hope it lasts a long time. We’ve had it for almost 3 months now and couldn’t be happier! I love the caddy too! It’s worth the extra! ... show more

  • UPDATED review. Chronic power supply problems. So far, two have completely failed.
Size: Natulius Titan
Yet another update: The second power supply has now failed. The first symptoms of the failure were that it had apparently "lost" its configuration and had to be re-adopted/re-connected to my WiFi network, the same as if it were a brand new unit. It lasted for 1 cleaning. The next time I tried to use it, it was in the same state only that time, despite attempting to re-connect it a half dozen or more times, it would not successfully connect to my Wifi network. Mind you, the power supply itself when in use sits less that 30 feet away, line of sight, from an outdoor Ubiquiti Unifi Pro access point that's also supporting multiple WiFi cameras that are several hundred feet away and are all working fine, so it's not a WiFi signal problem. Maytronics continues to pretend that they're not aware of chronic wide-spread problems with these power supplies. Revising this review again. I now truly regret this purchase and wish I have never seen this thing. Here's the latest: It's about a year old at this point, still in warranty. So far we've had one power supply go bad. It took a long time to get a replacement because they were out of stock. I assume because so many of them fail. I just dropped off the whole system at UPS to ship for more warranty work. Now we get nothing but error messages saying that the controller can't communicate with the robot. After talking with support they decided I needed to send the whole thing in (at my considerable expense) to the repair center in Georgia, still under warranty. Here's the telling part: As soon as I walked into the UPS store with that huge box, the counter person said, "That's a pool robot, isn't it?". Says I, "Yes, how did you know?" Counter person, "Because we get a LOT of those." All Maytronics? "Yep". Don't get me wrong, when it works it works really well, but with two big problems still under warranty and the initial cost, I tell you that dumb, simple pressure side Polaris we got with the pool is looking hard to beat. Further update: Checking the UPS tracking told me it arrived at their facility 7 days ago, yet I've heard nothing so I contacted them for a status. Here is what I was told: "• I see that your unit was delivered on 9/25/24. The unit has not been received in the system yet. Receiving is one week behind due to a surge of units coming in needing repairs. The turnaround time is 2-3 weeks after being received in the system. We appreciate your patience during this time. Once repairs are completed the unit is shipped back to you and a tracking email is sent. They also send an email letting you know when the unit is received in the system." So their receiving is at least a week behind, and service is at least 2-3 weeks behind. Why? Because of the number of units that have had problems severe enough to require them to be sent in for service. To quote a friend of mine: " It's h*ll when it's well, but it's sick ALL the time!" Original revision: After having lived with it for about a year now, I'm revising my review. Performance-wise, it works very well and I'm happy with the job it does. HOWEVER: Slightly less than 12 months in, the power supply has completely failed and will not power up at all. Contacting customer support, they agreed to ship me a new power supply with almost no questions asked. In fact it was SO easy that now I'm thinking that Maytronics must already be aware that their power supplies are plagued with frequent failures, especially considering some verbiage I found on their web site about the process for dealing with power supply problems. Also, although the robot itself can be operated without an internet connection or with their app on a smart phone, most of the features are not available without one or both of these. For instance, you can't set up a cleaning schedule, you can't alter the type or the duration of the cleaning cycle, you can't manually "drive" the robot around, and you can't get feedback about the condition of the filters. Their default mode of operation requires an active internet and wifi connection as well as a connection to the Maytronics servers. It's possible to switch the robot to communicate with the phone app over bluetooth, but that option is somewhat hidden in the menus and even in that mode, it's not clear whether or not the system still communicates back to Maytronics. (I could find that out via a Wireshark trace but so far, I haven't cared enough to do that.) I'm still happy with how well it cleans, but the "other stuff" above is now more of a concern to me personally. Original review: We have a large-ish 40,000+ gallon pool Likes: Does a thorough job. Filters relatively easy to clean. Being attached to a cable as opposed to wireless may seem like a con, but it means the suction motors can be stronger and more powerful than they could be if it were 100% wireless which means it does a good job. Climbs/cleans walls and cleans the waterline very well. Dislikes: The Android app used to control it does not have an 'exit' function. You can dismiss the app by using the 'home' button on your phone but the app will continue to run in the background which means it's still consuming memory and battery (and possibly sending who knows what information back to the Maytronics servers). To completely exit the app and stop it, one has to use the phones "force stop" function. (This is probably true of all Dolphin robot cleaners). When I reported this behavior to tech support, they seemed unconcerned and not willing to fix it so now that I know, I always just force stop the app when I'm done. ... show more

  • Great pool cleaner for price
Size: Nautilus CC Plus Wifi
The best pool cleaner for the price. Extremely easy to use. It climbs steps, climbs walls, picks up small pool toys. Easy to clean. I suggest not pulling it out of the pool by the cord. Buy a cheap hook and protect the cord.

  • Initial experience is good......but now and update!
Size: Nautilus CC Plus Wifi
2nd Update: After 2 new power supplies (2nd one they sent was a new updated version) I still cannot connect and now the cleaning unit is not working properly, maybe due to all of the changing and testing they had me do, I don't know. But it will just move forward then backward about 3 feet over and over. Finally they decided that needed to send it all back to them! They sent me an RMA and instructed me to box it all up (all original pieces) and send it to them by UPS. I had to pay for the postage there ($75) and they pay for the return trip. Not happy about that but what'cha gonna do? Anyway, they kept it about 3-4 days and sent it back. I plugged it in and it immediately connected to my wifi and phone app. Works perfectly now, and I have no idea what they did. After a month, it seems to still be working great but I'll keep my fingers crossed! Update: After 8 months of fairly good use, it decided to no longer connect to my phone app. After multiple tries I decided to contact their customer support. They responded within a day or two and we went over some different steps to get it to connect but none worked. It was escalated to the next support level where they decided to send me a new power supply (this contains the wifi and Bluetooth receivers). I received the new PS in about 4 days and then began to try again. I tried 2 different Android phones and a new IPhone but none would connect to the new power supply. Now that's where I'm at, the cleaner does fine if you start it manually but I paid extra to get the wifi model so that I could create a daily schedule that would run the cleaner whether I was at home or not. I still believe that this is decent cleaner but something has gone wrong with the connection. Maybe an app update that messed it up? Who knows? I'm waiting for customer support to return my email about what they want to do next. I will update this review. OK, I've been researching for a robotic cleaner to replace the basic Pentair Racer that came with my pool. After 3 years it just wasn't doing the job. I decided on a corded robot because I know from experience that rechargeable batteries will go bad after the 1st year or so, plus corded robots can stay in the pool over extended periods if necessary. I settled on the Dolphin Nautilus CC plus wifi mostly due to its name and reputation. Now, after unpacking and setting it up, I will give my initial opinion. Very easy to unpack and set up, only need a very short start-up guide to get it cleaning. Put it in the water, plugged it in and pushed the button, started cleaning after about a 2 minute warm-up. Downloaded the app and set that up in less than 5 minutes with no hang ups or issues. App connects to the robot easily. Now with that said, I'm not sure that the extra money for the wifi app is really worth it. It only has the single, embedded cleaning patter, so you can't select other patters like some other robots will allow. The only thing that you can can do is schedule it for multiple days, but they suggest that you remove it from the pool after each use. I guess that if I'm going to be gone for a week or 2, I can schedule it to keep the pool clean while I'm away, and just take a chance that the extended pool time doesn't harm the robot. I wish that this had a larger filter basket. It is very thin and won't hold much once the leaves start falling this fall. I'll probably put my old Racer back in for that and save the Nautilus for when there will be less clean up. But we'll see! I'll watch this thing over the next few weeks and report back on how things are going, but as of the first day, I think that it was a good buy. FYI- the manual (along with several other reviewers) indicate that there is supposed to be 2 sets of filter baskets included with this unit, 1 set of fine and 1 set of ultra fine. I only received 1 set with the "fine" filters. I sent messages to both the seller and the manufacturer for assistance. We will see how that turns out! ... show more
