So this is my first try with an electric shear and I bought it for my long haired chihuahua. Invariably every year he gets a flea that drives him nuts and it's difficult for me to flea comb him. I bought this specifically so I could shorten the hair by his butt and belly. The bad reviews almost stopped me but it seemed worth a shot. It came almost fully charged and worked great for a trim. The unit is very quiet and my dog wasn't even scared. After a bit he even loved the extra attention and the other dog became jealous. I was able to watch a quick YouTube video and trimmed up his butt area and then his belly. No way I'm skilled enough to mess with his long hair or his mane, but for a bunz trim it did the trick. I'm sure this isn't what the pros use but it is a great value for me - inexperienced at trimming and used on a small dog. Paid for itself already, though the flea remains at large for the moment.

Arrived faster than fast! I have an old school Oster 76. Paid over 150 dollars for it light years ago. Blades are expensive too, it's loud, it gets hot quickly and it's a pain in the butt to use when grooming my dog (present and past). Recently I discovered this dog grooming kit because I didn't want to spend about 30 dollars for a new blade that "might" work. Even though there were/are some excellent reviews on this kit, I really didn't have very high expectations. So wrong was I. I can't believe how easy it is to use, it arrived 98% charged (which in my head didn't think it would last long and again, I was prooven wrong again), very VERY light, I was able to groom his private areas - which in the past was not done properly (by me) because it would get hot and I didn't want to burn the little guy, and, from what was in the past an over an hour "task" was trimmed down to maybe 15 minutes max. No tangled cord to deal with, VERY quiet, NO GETTING HOT and the charge - after his buzz - is at 96%. I'm impressed! As a matter of fact, I'm very VERY impressed and ELATED that I picked up this grooming kit and, I think my little doggie is happy too! It comes with everything that you will possibly need: assorted clipper guides which are easy to put on and take off, clipper brush (to clean out the hair that may get stuck), oil, shears, comb and charging cord.

I don’t have much experience grooming dogs but I bought this to save some money with the groomers. It’s worked well. I have a doodle so he needs constant grooming. It takes me about and hour to shave his whole body and the battery ends up at about 40%. I always charge it after so it can be ready for the next use. It is fairly noiseless. The metal comb is a great addition. I don’t like how his curly hair gets stuck under the clipper guard so I have to take it off and clean it often. I’m not sure if it’s the machine or the fact that his hair is curly but that does become annoying.

My previous clippers for my Maltipoo were from Wahl. I'll never go back after using these. Very good quality, less noise than the Wahl's. My girl really does well with these and just sits there instead of trying to leave and move around a lot. I think having the clipper head smaller (width) really helps. Very good battery life, I have used them 5 times now and still at 60% battery after the initial charge. Easy to handle in the hand, etc. Thinking about getting a second one for when these go out as you know how that goes, what you want years later they don't have anymore!!!! Happy grooming - mw

I have a 13yr old wheaten terrier and a 12yr old American cocker spaniel. Grooming them is a weekend project of 4 * 2hr sittings until the Whal dies or gets so hot I just can't anymore and my back is killing me. They hate it, hate grooming, have had horrible experiences with groomers (one left a huge gash and covered it with a bandana) SO..... I got this one and tried it. It is NOT silent. As soon as I turned it on my wheaten bolted, BUT it is not horrible. I got him back and got half of him done in 10MINUTES!!! Very happy. I'll have to see how it does with my Cocker but so far so good. If it does well after 2 months I'll updtate the review and buy another. Good luck with yours!

the only problem i would say is that it's loud and my dog gets scared but i was able to get it done and made sure he wasn't that scared id turn it on before id do anything and let him see it and smell it so he knows its not a threat lol but he looks amazing

It was easy and smooth to use. Hairs got tangled but one good swing and it’ll come off easy. Making it easy for me to go back in and keep shaving. I have a pomchi with thick hair. This made him beautiful and young again without issue. Just a heads up. Have somewhere nice to shave them it’ll get everywhere haha
