Since we can't afford new windows yet and I have a western exposure (in Arizona, no less!) I thought I'd give this a try. As long as you follow the instructions (and I heartily thank and recommend the reviewer who noted how important it is to make sure your windows are THOROUGHLY WET before applying) this is a great DIY project. Although it is still hotter than Hades in the rooms with those windows, it is a lot better than it was due to these window tints. I am very pleased with them.

Purchased the 50% nano ceramic window tint as well as a tint application kit from Lowe’s. Having never installed window tint before I was a little worried, but it was a breeze. Buy this tint, install yourself, and save thousands from having a company tint the windows of your home.

Very nice but roll is cut into two 12.5 foot sections. This caused a lot of waste for me. Caution, take this into consideration when ordering. It does cut the heat, and looks nice and clear but that wasted footage - since my windows are 27 x 57 was disconcerting. I only got four windows out of the 25 foot roll and should have had enough for five. Since the windows are one large pane, putting two sections together isn't an option

The Snapguard Solutions window tint film was installed on our motorhome by my wife and myself. We watched the installation video that Snapguard created and have no gaps and no bubbles on the window installation. The film installed on our windows better than any film we have ever used. As far as the film, we ordered the 50% light-blocking window film that blocks up to 99% of UV rays and 95%–99% of IR heat. The 50% was just right to cut the amount of sunlight getting into the RV and stays legal for our state requirements. Definitely recommend you purchase the Snapguard Solutions film.

Great price, great size, easy to install, and couldn't believe how much it keeps the heat out of the living room. All the while still being able to actually see out of the window. I thought it was going to be a pain in the neck to try and get this window film up without any bubbles showing up, however it was easy breezy. I'm almost thinking about going into business and charging people to do it for them, just on how easy it was. And the price was decent also!!!!

So here's the thing. I researched a LOT of tint options because I wanted to make sure that my door color would mostly still be able to be seen through the storm door glass. I landed on "ceramic" being one of the better types of tint because apparently it's less dark, but still effective in blocking heat. I paid EXTRA for this feature. I wish I wouldn't have. Not only did it COMPLETELY change the color of my door, it was a nightmare to install. I never got it perfectly smooth without bubbles, so I guess they are just something I have to live with. It's also a blue-ish hue which I didn't expect from the listing (I thought it would look more grey/black than anything).

For 10 minutes I've been trying to get the protective film peeled away from the actual film and it's impossible... I'm sure I'll get it eventually, but I fear by the time I do there will be hundreds of little creases in the window film...NOT easy to install... and I do a lot of diy stuff. IJS Unless you have 3 days to do 1 window, forget it.
