Easy to install! Don’t be afraid to be liberal with your soap water. I got Neptune Blue and I love the color in the outside and in. The material has a good thickness which makes it VERY to work with. It covered my windows perfectly and looks great outside. I’m about to order more, a squeegee, and a cutting kit. I used an exacto knife and a car body filler wedge and it went up better than I could have ever wanted. When you order, I highly suggest getting it wider than your window, because I cut mine and was able to tuck the edges into the frame. If you have a piece get dirty, spray it down with soap water, wipe off and it will still work. It’s super forgiving to work with. Best part is it cut my kitchen temp by at minimum 10° ... show more

I purchased these for our sunroom. The one wall of windows gets full sun all day long and the glare makes it impossible to sit out there with my laptop and enjoy the view while working. I bought 1 roll to try it out, and then when we liked the results, I bought several more rolls to complete the back wall of windows. Applying them is frustrating. I did do the first roll myself, but when I got the other rolls, my husband helped me apply them. It was still frustrating, but having 2 people definitely helps. The best advice is to keep spraying the soapy water on the window and film. You have to keep pulling up the film and re-applying to smooth out the wrinkles, so when it starts to get more difficult to pull up the film to adjust, that means it's too dry and you need more water. You really can't put too much water on it. We really are thrilled with the results! ... show more

    • Good, But Tricky to Install

Pros: Definitely cuts the heat and glare in the room, which gets sun almost all day. Con: The light adhesive makes it a bit of a PITA to install. Not sure it's really needed for most residentail applications and just makes it tougher to get an easy and smooth application. also, the backing film is difficult to remove because of the adhesive. The adhesive makes it almost impossible to get a wrinkle or bubble-free application, unlike non-adhesive films. Installation advice: begin heavily wetting the film the moment you begin peeling off the backing film, otherwise it will stick to itself and become almost impossible to manage. Beyond that, good luck getting all the bubbles and creases out. ... show more

I am so VERY glad we bought this heat reflective film..We have a big window that faces full south so it really heats our house up in this VERY hot and dry drought we are having in Washington State..The film I bought was Mercury Blue..I got the 23.6x 6.5 ft size..It went on easily..The hardest part was getting the protective film off the window cling ..After struggling with the large window first.. I had enough left over to cover a small window in our porch that faces full EAST sun ..I figured out putting a piece of scotch tape on the corner of the protective film (not the one that goes on the window) and pulling it was sooo easy to separate the 2 films..I also used a spray bottle with just dish soap and water..I used a LOT of spray on the window and the cling..NOTE: Do not spray the window before you are ready to apply because the soap, especially on a hot sunny side window, will dry and leaves streaks and you just have to spray again.. Also, I had enough left over to do the small window in the porch.. I planned on that when I ordered..The only concern I had was I new it would be pieced together..I decided to overlap one window with the scraps..IT HELD GREAT!! You can see in the pictures I took..They are the last of windows.. If you look at the pictures and see the comparison to the opened window and the window with the heat reflective film on it..you can see how clear it is …a bit tinted but still great visibility.. I HIGHLY recommend this product.. I did a test for the temp with the window covered and the window not covered..There is a HUGE difference now with the heat stopped outside! Yaaaaay! I am planning on a long term solution to the ‘heat is here to stay’ situation our climate change has put us all in. Note: I cut my window cling as close to size before putting it on..That seemed easier..I did have an exact0 knife for trimming some areas but that was minimal..GOOD luck! SECOND REVIEW ON SECOND ORDER.. I still love this product…I used it on 2 West side facing bedroom windows..I had a very pretty prismatic window cling on those but they were not heat reflecting..I cut the heat reflecting film and applied like the first order..It went on without a problem..NOTE…You can see right through this reflective window cling..My husband went outside and I stayed inside for the test..Sooo, I really missed my prismatic cling.. I wondered if it would stick to the reflective cling..IT DOES!! Sooo pretty..The first 6 pictures are the dinning room window..I have a picture of flowers to divide the window pictures..The last pictures are the bedroom window with the heat reflective cling underneath the prismatic film..     • Worked for about a year, no longer blocking the glare

It was NOT easy to install, but I was able to make it decent, something I could live with on my front glass storm door. The main door stays open almost all day, due to the indoor/outdoor cat coming and going, and was creating a glare on the tv, esp in the morning making it unwatchable. As I said, the installation was NOT fun. I did it myself, which was hard enough, but fighting the pet hair made it harder. I think with two people, and a home without pets, it would be considerably easier. I do have several spots that appeared within a few days with a single cat or dog hair underneath, but although im a perfectionist, I decided to wait to try again, and within that time I realized they weren’t that noticeable, and wasn’t worth the stress and work. I was SO happy with how it blocked the glare on the tv and the privacy during the day. (Can definitely see inside at night) However, during the last few months the glare has started to return. I went outside and checked the privacy aspect, which it still is preventing seeing in the house. But, the main reason I ordered and installed was to block the glare on the tv, and it isn’t doing that not even a year later. I ordered it in Nov 2022, but didn’t install for several months. I can’t remember exactly, other than it was warm enough to have the door open, so had to be at least March/April, meaning that within 8 months it’s not doing what I purchased it to do. The cost would definitely be worth spending again, but the installation is not worth doing every 7/8 months. ... show more
