  • They say Ray Ban...
Color: Matte Black Frame | Grey Mirror Silver Lens Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
I don't think it could be disputed that I really like Ray Ban sunglasses. And I have for a long time. My Ray Ban collection goes back to a time when there were glass lenses and really sturdy cases, etc. I especially miss my mirrored Wayfarers that I accidentally stepped on. A sad day, indeed. As far as these sunglasses, honestly, I am not especially taken with these pair of Ray Bans. They have a matte finish that perhaps I don't fully appreciate, there are no spring hinges, (not that any of my other Ray Ban sunglasses have them either), and although they weigh right at what my last pair of Wayfarers weighs, they just don't feel like I expect them to feel, although honestly, I can't quite put my finger on what that is. The fit is fine, the looks are okay, but you can get that with a $10 pair of sunglasses. All the accessories are a nice touch, but I would have preferred a better case. I have found that the cases used now have a tendency to break at the snap, which I find quite irritating. I have no doubt that the materials used are superior to a cheap pair of sunglasses, but they are no match for the quality of years gone by. But then, what is? In the end, they still say Ray Ban, so it is up to you to determine what that is worth. ... show more

Color: Matte Rubber Black Frame | Red Mirror Lens Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
The media could not be loaded. Opened the package to find that the spray bottle was completely empty and the content of it was all inside the accessorie case. Also I ordered this with specificly for the brown glasses case, but I got black, not the end of the world but it would be nice to know exactly what you get. ... show more

Color: Matte Transparent Frame | Grey Lens Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
These were okay, not a fan of the material it’s made out of. I have a small face so they also were big on my face.

  • Effective and comfortable sunglasses
Color: Matte Black Frame | Grey Mirror Silver Lens Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
I've had Ray-Bans before and like their general quality. These are a bit pricey, and are a little different style than what I usually get (mainly metal type frames). They are plastic and feel that at the price point they would feel higher quality, but I have to say that I'm pleased with these. They fit me will. There lightweight so don't even feel like they're on. I had to get used to the thicker bezels as I usual have thin metal style ones, but after a few hours of use they didn't seem to be in the way. One thing I'm happy about this design is how they sit on the bridge of my nose. I can barely tell they're there and don't irritate my nose or I don't have to keep a adjusting them. The sides don't feel like they're crushing my head. I've had them on all day long and they were very comfortable. The package came with a black Ray-Ban case (their usual leathery style). The cleaning solution, cloth, and mini screwdriver set came in a separate black case that matches with the primary case. It's nice cause then you can keep the cleaner from getting lost somewhere. There one I got didn't come with this other solution that was shown on the product page so it's not clear what happened there. The lenses are dark enough and UV protected but not polarized. There early to clean but you'll have to be extra careful as they can scratch easily (previous experience from Ray-Ban). Overall that are find glasses, but should probably be priced much lower, otherwise they're good. ... show more

  • Super Stylish - Small Defect
Color: Matte Black Frame | Grey Mirror Silver Lens Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
I've exclusively owned Maui Jim sunglasses for my decades of living in Hawaii. This is my first experience with Ray-Ban. It's worth noting that sunglasses are a high margin product and much of what you're paying for is the design rather than the raw materials. These Ray-Bans get high marks for iconic style, they look fantastic. The optics are also very good, presenting a very clear view upon the world. Unfortunately, my pair arrived with a manufacturing defect in the form of a small occlusion on the lens. It doesn't affect the field of vision, and is not noticeable unless you know precisely where to look. But it was disappointing. How do these compare to Maui Jims? Perhaps it's not a fair comparison as my Maui Jims all cost $100 more than these. On the style front, these Ray-Bans stand toe to toe. However, after my experience with the out of the box defect, and given my long successful history with Maui Jim, I'm left to conclude that Maui Jim are of higher manufacturing quality. And costing $100 more, they should be. But no Maui Jim can match the iconic styling of these Ray-Bans. Just wish my pair were perfect out of the box. ... show more

  • Should be better
Color: Matte Black Frame | Grey Mirror Silver Lens Lens Width: 55 Millimeters
I am a fan of Ray Ban. I liked pre-luxotica Ray Ban much better but I don't have to many gripes about the products they are currently putting out. I have a couple of pairs along with other higher end shades from Costa, Maui, AO, ect. These closestly compare to my Costa Remora in 580P. The Justing comes with polycarbonate lenses. That means that these are very pricy run of the mill plastic lenses. That said, for a poly they are fairly clear. No where near as clean as my Costa plastic, AO nylon, or Maui Mauipure though. Plus all of the others are polarized and lighter for a lower MRSP. These also don't have an antireflective coating that I can tell. I see the reflection of my eyes and face pretty bad. I don't seem to have that issues with my RB aviators or other crystal lenses RB. Defiantly not on my Costa or Maui poly lenses. The frame is nice. But it is simply a matte nylon frame with a not very beefy hinge. Comparatively it feels much less durable than other similar shades. I have no clue why Ray Ban doesn't make this frame in Italy (these are made in China) like most of their others or why they chose poly over glass but if they fixed those two issues, this pair might be worth the current MRSP. Otherwise, these are not much different than a budget pair from a surf shop. ... show more
