  • DARK AND REFLECTIVE silver finish to create a mirror-like appearance while reducing cooling costs, especially during the summer, through effective heat rejection. Also blocks 99% of UV rays, minimizing fading on furnishings caused by the sun.
  • STRONG ADHESIVE protected by release liner. For easier installation, use A LOT of soap/water mixture to soak both the adhesive side and window.
  • HIGH QUALITY PERFORMANCE FILM that is sensitive by nature. Please take caution when handling the film as the slightest fold may create a permanent wrinkle.
  • FREE TOOLS AND EASY INSTALLATION GUIDE to make installation DIY-friendly. Make sure the window surface is completely clean and absolutely free of any blemishes.

Description

Visit the Store BDF is a premier window film company that offers a wide range of high-quality and stylish window films to customers. We have various types of window films can provide practical solutions for window-related needs, such as sun control, enhanced daytime privacy, security, decoration, opacity, and protection from UV rays. Our window films in various colors and appearance can add elegance and sophistication to your home or office. An excessive amount of water solution (16 oz. water + 8 drops liquid soap) will make handling the film easy. Spraying soapy water on the adhesive as you pull off the liner will prevent the film from being too sticky. To remove the liner, use two pieces of tape, attaching them to a corner (one on each side, facing each other). Press the tapes together, and then slowly separate the two pieces. The films are installed inside unless the film is specified as "exterior film". Promote serene lifestyle Create a mirror-like appearance outside during day while reducing cooling costs during the summer. DAYRIME PRIVACY WITH VIEW Prevent onlookers from looking through your window while maintaining visibility from inside. KEEP YOUR LIFE COOLER Reducing cooling costs during the summer through effective heat rejection film; up to 79% reduction. Same film the PROs use We wanted to bring the same films that professional window film installers use, to the public. Right tools for the job The squeegee and blade are designed to be effective and easy to use for both pros and DIYers. The S15's silver-tone metalized reflective nature gives it an excellent heat-rejecting rate of up to 79% which keeps the interior of your home or office building nice and cool. This helps maintain your room at a cool, moderate temperature, resulting in lower cooling costs. S15 window film provides an excellent UV-blocking barrier. Being exposed to UV rays can cause skin problems such as premature aging skin and signs of wrinkles and eye problems. The S15 film rejects about 99% of the UV rays, helping to reduce fading on your precious furniture, and pictures. The effect of any daytime privacy window film will greatly depend on the lighting conditions, because the side of the film exposed to more light will become more reflective and harder to see through. This is why the privacy effect works so well during the day, and almost not at all at night. Our products come with tools needed to get your job done, and an installation guide is included to help you with a smooth installation process. With the right amount of care, practice, and patience, both installation and removal of the film should be simple and easy. The video guide shows an overview of the installation steps. We provide tools and information to help make the DIY work easier. The video guide shows an overview of the installation steps. Reviewing and following the proper steps allows a clean and smooth application process, so that you can then enjoy the benefits of the newly installed window film - whether it is the energy efficiency made possible by a sun control film, the added protection and peace of mind of a security film, or the stylish aesthetics of a decorative film. Using an excessive amount of water solution (16 oz. water + 8 drops liquid soap such as baby shampoo) will make handling the film easier. Spraying water solution on the adhesive as you pull off the liner will prevent the film from being too sticky. This will also reduce or eliminate the potential for wrinkles and bubbles during installation. Once the film is properly placed on the window, the soapy water should be pushed out using the squeegee with appropriate pressure applied. Attached to the film is a clear layer called the backing liner. This layer covers the adhesive or cling side of the actual film layer; the liner needs to be removed when you install the film. The best way is to use two pieces of tape on a corner (one on each side, facing each other). One piece would grab onto the film, and the other onto the liner. Press the tapes together, and then slowly separate the two pieces to pull the two layers away from each other. Static reaction happens when the backing liner is taken apart from the film. It may cause the film to stick to itself, which makes that film useless. To prevent this, spray the soapy water solution as you carefully pull off the backing liner. The window surface should also be sprayed with plenty of the soapy water. This can be used to clean the window before applying the film, and allows you to move the film around on the window without it getting stuck on the surface. A daytime privacy film can prevent onlookers outside from seeing in while retaining view from inside during the day. The effect will depend on the brightness on each side: the space that has more light can be seen through the film from the other side, whereas the film conceals the space that is darker. This is why the privacy effect works well during the day, since the sun usually makes the exterior of your building brighter than the interior. Curtains or blinds will be needed for nighttime. Why does the film not stick to the window? / Why did the film fall off from the window a few hours later? There is a clear "backing liner" layer attached to the actual "film" layer. The backing liner covers the adhesive on the film so that the film does not prematurely stick. When you install the film, the backing liner needs to be peeled off from it. Can people see in at night? / Why is the interior visible from outside during nighttime? If lights are on inside, the interior will be visible at night because it is brighter. Curtains or blinds can be closed at nighttime to block view. (During daytime, you can see out while having privacy from outside due to the sunlight outside.) Why are both sides silver? / Why is there reflection from inside? The film is silver on each side, but reflection is more apparent from the side having more light. This is why during daytime, the film looks like a mirror from outside while allowing view from inside. This is reversed at night with lights inside. Why does the window feel warmer after the film has been installed? This is an expected result. The window with the film installed feels warmer because the film stops some of the heat. If the film is not there, the heat felt on the window would instead enter the room. Why did bubbles (or spots where film is not adhering properly) form after the film was installed? This is due to the moisture left inside. The film may appear fine when installed, but afterwards, the water can interfere with the adhesive and cause bubbles to form. Apply firm pressure with the squeegee and push out the water to prevent bubbles.

  • Don’t skimp on the soapy water!
Size: 36in X 24ft
This did the trick. My rooms are much cooler than before I installed the film. It came with instructions, a knife, and a squeegee. Installation was easy…just make sure to spray lots of soapy water on the window (after you clean it), and on the sticky side of the film (so it won’t stick to itself before you get it on the window). Also spray some on the other side of the film - side that faces you after you put it on the window (so the squeegee slides easily across it). Water will drip on the sill, and maybe the floor depending on how liberally you spray. So a drop cloth may come in handy. Also, if you blot the excess at the bottom side of the window periodically, the tendency of the film to draw it back up is diminished. Once all the water between the window and the film is squeezed out, and you work out any bubbles, it will set and then you can trim off any excess. ... show more

  • Works As Advertised Works As Advertised
Size: 24in x 14ft
We have six large windows in our living room that gets morning and early afternoon sun. This is our first year in our home and we didn't know what to expect, but even with the blinds closed, the room was hot in the Florida sun. We decided to try this. We were nervous about how it would look. We didn't want a mirror look on the outside even though woods are behind us. We also didn't want the windows to be too dark. We are very happy with how it looks. My pictures show three windows with film for comparison, all windows with film and then the outside. There is a reflection outside, but it doesn't look mirrored. There is more of a reflection inside than before. As far as helping with the heat, it really has made a big difference. I still close my blinds until the early afternoon, but there is not hear pouring out of them like before. I probably could leave them open, but I am trying to save on my electric bill. The room is quite cool now with the film and the blinds closed in the morning. We also put a film on the kitchen window. I don't like it as well there because it is a small window and it definitely looks darker. It keeps the heat out though. Also, that window has a broken seal and the film has made it less noticeable. Installation was pretty easy, but it was a two person job because our windows are large. We ordered three rolls. We are very happy with this product. ... show more

  • Film is great (5 stars), but the installation equipment and instructions leave a bit to be desired.
Size: 36in X 12ft
I have no complaints about the film. It is keeping most of the annoying, hot western sunlight out of my home. You should know, however, that at 15% VLT the sunlight inside the room will be dim (kind of like a cloudy day a couple of hours before the rain arrives). Also, at night, if your interior lights on, you will not be able to see though the tint. I live on an upper floor in a highrise building so this isn't much of an issue. But, closer to the ground, hmm. Unfortunately, I found that the provided application tools and instructions were insufficient. Not terrible, just insufficient for me. In the box was 1 retractable blade "box cutter," and 1 two-inch squeegee (cutter was good, but the squeegee...it's gonna take a long time). If I had to use only these items and my imagination to apply the tint, I would have ended up in a sloppy, frustrating mess. Fortunately, there's an Internet. Before you order ANY film, search Google for "How to Apply Window Film." There is an 8.46 minute YouTube video by "Tap" that I found very helpful. You'll see how to apply the film and exactly which extra tools you'll need--none of which were price above $10.00. Applying the film is not difficult, but it takes patience, and a little practice. If possible, start with a window in the "junk room" and have another pair of hands available--just in case. After about the second set of windows you'll be a Pro (well at least you'll feel like one). • WORKS IN DAYLIGHT
Size: 48in X 24ft
Folks this is easy to install. And you can literally be nekked behind the mirror if it is sunny outside...I tested by doing just that and had my lovely bride walk out in front yard to tell me if she could see in. NUTTIN at all right up to about 10 inches from glass window. Even then it was only a silhouette. Adds great privacy without giving up natural light in house. Cuts down heat in summer months NOW at night it reverses so if dark out and lights on inside everyone can see in. One way to combat that is to have bright landscape lights on shining on window from outside and lights dim or off in house while watching tv. Or draw shades at night if you choose. But honestly I was worried my house would look like an office building because I did all front street facing windows but it doesn't. Looks just like sun reflecting off glass. Oh I think it cut down on birds running into my picture window in living room but have not kept count. Birds brains? ... show more

  • Easy to use, works as expected.
Size: 48in X 12ft
We have a summer home with several west facing windows. The house had always been rented until this past summer. We were appalled by the amount of heat the west facing windows let into the house. One bedroom was 15 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. We bought this film to reflect the heat. It does so successfully which saves on AC costs and prevents fading. ... show more

  • Good stuff. Not hard to install but tedious to do correctly.
Size: 36in X 24ft
I purchased this for my garage. I live in a hot climate and our garage routinely got above 100 degrees in the hot summer sun. Good: This stuff is quality and if you follow the directions, it will look great. Bad: Plan on spending way more time cleaning the windows that you think you need. I thought I was starting with relatively clean windows, but my first application looked poor because there were lots of tiny little spots on the window that were very hard to see. Luckily, I had ordered enough to have a couple of do-overs just in case. Main advice: If this is your first time doing this, be sure to order enough to have 1 or 2 do-overs while you get the hang of it. I'll update at a later date with how well this lowered the temperature in our garage. ... show more

  • Doable but...
Size: 60in X 25ft
Overall, reasonably doable for an amateur. Two different areas of imperfections in the film that cannot be pressed out. One about two inches long and one about 4 inches long. They look like a human hair but they are actually imbedded in the film. We will try to ignore them because it is challenging to do it once let alone pull the bad piece down and do another piece in its place. You cannot see the imperfections until the film is up on the window. ... show more

  • 👏👏This stuff WORKS!👏👏 👏👏This stuff WORKS!👏👏
Size: 48in X 12ft
5 stars for the product, 4 stars for my patience during installation 😂... First things first: this stuff WORKS. We have windows that turn the house into a human air fryer every afternoon, and after installing this film the temperature difference was noticeable almost immediately. The glare is way down, the rooms stay cooler, and my AC finally gets a break instead of fighting for its life all day. That said… this film is VERY technique sensitive because it’s thinner than I expected. Thin is great once it’s installed because it looks clean and smooth, but during installation it can feel a little flimsy and dramatic if you’re not careful. If this is your first time applying window film, prepare yourself mentally and emotionally lol. My biggest advice? CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS LIKE YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT DEPENDS ON IT. Seriously. I thought mine were clean until sunlight exposed every microscopic speck of dust, lint, dog hair, and apparently sins from previous homeowners. Any tiny debris WILL show. Second piece of advice: use WAY more soapy water than you think is reasonable. Then use more. Spray the glass. Spray the adhesive side. Spray the front side. Spray your soul if necessary. The extra slip gives you time to position everything correctly and helps prevent the film from sticking to itself like cling wrap from the depths of hell. Cutting it was honestly the hardest part for me because the film is thin and flexible, so getting perfectly straight edges takes patience. Definitely use a good straight edge and a very sharp blade. If you rush this part, the film will humble you quickly. Once installed though? Chef’s kiss... During the daytime it gives fantastic privacy while still letting light in. From outside it mostly looks like sunlight reflecting off the windows.. BUT and this part is important because apparently some people skip reading descriptions and then get mad at physics — at night the effect reverses if your lights are on inside and it’s dark outside. People absolutely can see inside at night. So if nighttime privacy is your main concern, you’ll still want blinds or curtains. Overall, I’m really happy with it. It takes patience, prep work, and a willingness to become temporarily best friends with a spray bottle, but the end result is worth it. If you go into this expecting a quick 5-minute peel-and-stick situation, you’ll probably get frustrated. If you take your time and follow the process, it looks great and makes a huge difference in heat and glare reduction. ... show more
