I've purchased more than a few of these wooden digital clocks over the years to place them around the house since they are dirt cheap and double as clocks and thermometers/humidity monitors. Though there are literally hundreds of selections available on Amazon, most share the same basic design and features, with few offering some extras like wireless charging and whatnot. Since it had been a few years since my last purchase, I did some research to find out what the latest options look like, and this one stood out for its sheer size over all the others in the same price range. This really is a jumbo-sized wooden clock with numbers literally twice as big as most typical wooden clocks sold on Amazon. So it's got more room to display extra information such as the full date including the year and the day of the week. It's also big where it counts and slim and minimalistic where it doesn't, as it has a noticeably slimmer profile than my older wooden clock that is still popular on Amazon. The clock is also significantly brighter, so all the numbers really jump out at you even from a distance. It has 5 levels of brightness with attractive buttons on the top that are easily accessible. At the brightest setting, the numbers really pop out, while at its dimmest setting, it dims all the way down to a level where even the most light-sensitive person will be happy with it by their bedside. The one thing that would make this a better clock would be an auto-dimming feature based on ambient light levels, but as it is, most people would be happy with the brightness level at 2 or 3 when using this as a bedside clock. I should also mention that the battery is only for backup purposes, keeping the internal time running in the event of a power outage, which should certainly come in handy here in Florida. Given the current price this is going for, I'm surprised this isn't far and away the top-selling wooden digital clock on Amazon. The bottom line is whether you need a digital clock for your bedside, desk, or living room, if you're looking for a slim, stylish wooden clock with extra large & bright numbers, this should most definitely be your top choice.

I love this clock, it fits perfectly in the laboratory. In a laboratory, it's very important to know the room temperature for reagents and relative humidity for samples. This clock works very well, the temperature is extremely accurate and I already validated it using the central air conditioner's thermostat at the hospital and they both mark the same temperature. The hour is big enough to be seen from another working room in the lab. The date is just a really good bonus for this already-perfect clock. The design is plastic made to be look like wood, however, it doesn't bother me since it has an appealing modern-looking design for me. There have been frequent power outages and the battery serves to remember the date and time so that you don't have to set it up again. The battery is not for cordless power. Very well done in this clock, fully recommend.

I bought this clock thinking it was a clock radio. I just can’t wake up to beeping! Also, this clock was quite bright in a dark room even on its lowest setting. Other than that, this would have been a perfect clock. I loved that it had temp, humidity and date, and that I could set the clock for weekends and weekdays with two separate alarms. Also, it looks really cool, like a solid slab of wood. The buttons make a distinct clicking sound, as many clocks do.

Large numbers for the time, gives the month, day and year, the temperature and room humidity. You can lower the brightness which I like. Doesn’t have a radio but that’s ok.

It's been 3 months and already the display has failed. What time is it on the darker pic? (It's 5:32). I threw out the box so now I can't return it. At first, the lower illumintion setting failed. I had to keep it on the higher illumination level which was EXTREMELY annoyingly bright. Then, the higher levels failed. Shame, because it was super cute out of the box. Waste of money.

Really like the look of the clock. It was an adjustment from our old clock but it was finally time after 20 years. This one had two alarms and a DST feature as well so we were thrilled. The LED display has gone bad after less than a year so you can only set one alarm now and you have no idea if the DST is set or not.
