Installed myself, pretty simple. I suggest using pipe dope on all the threaded connections, teflon tape had some leakage at the threads. Had high copper come back as a result in water test at my house. Was recommended to install this system. The copper was leaving a blue residue behind in my shower, sink, fixtures. Since this has been installed have not had an issue. Waiting to retest in a few weeks to see the exact levels.

I'm not a licensed plumber but install draft beer systems which is very similar. Instructions are vague on programming regen schedule in the smart head. Everything else is straight forward if your look at the arrows. The bypass felt wobbly but they insisted it was by design hooked everything up and no leaks. Interested to see how it performs will update score if it's negative. I had to call twice for simple questions and got a live human that was quite helpful. Overall very pleased. This thing is very heavy like I'd guess 115lbs without the head or bypass on it so you'll need a hand getting it to install point. ... show more
