  • Ever wanted to see up your dog's nose? Well you will and it's great!
This little mobile microscope is so cool! I got it for my 15-year old so I will admit I thought it was a bit too young for them but they are a huge lover of science and have been saving up to get a nice real microscope, chemicals, and slides and since the are doing well in their classes I thought this would be a nice encouragement while they did that... so they are at the stage that vacillates back and forth between that... and poly-amorous love hexagons and the complications of the human soul... You know, young teenagers. When I gave it to them I had no idea if they were going to roll their eyes and glare at me or not. Well they loved it! Within minutes of giving it to them they had figured out how to use it and were able to tell me exactly how much funk was in the pillow of my sofa, about the hairs on their arms, pinned me down to see if they could see the little critters that live at the base of your eyelashes, and had asked me to buy more slides for them to make their own. I ventured to the kitchen and came back to the poor dog looking very confused with a full sized person looking very closely and where their dots to see what the difference was where the two areas of pigment changed. That cat had less patience so remains un-examined. It was just cool and anything that gets a high schooler excited about something not on their phone makes me happy and I am not going to let myself get cynical about it. As for the device itself, it was a sturdy little things clearly designed with the expectation that it will be dropped many many times even with the included safety lanyard. It is easy to use and figure out the controls on your own. It is sturdy, quality materials that should last a long time and doesn't seam prone to breaking. Even the slides have a case to keep them in to avoid breaking and to keep them clean. It comes with a nice instruction book with many languages and is overall a nice STEM gift for ALL ages and curious minds! I didn't need to see MY arms hairs that huge and black, but at least they look healthy! ... show more

  • Perfect Starter Microscope for Curious Kids!
I bought this digital handheld microscope for my 8-year-old daughter, and it's been a fantastic purchase! She's always been curious about bugs, plants, and tiny things in general, so I wanted something that could encourage that interest without being overly complicated—and this little microscope is exactly that. Right out of the box, it was easy to set up. The instructions were clear, and it connected to our tablet via USB in just a minute or two. The app it uses is pretty straightforward and kid-friendly. Within minutes, she was zooming in on leaves, fabric, her own skin, and (of course) dead bugs she found in the backyard. The image quality is surprisingly good for a kids' device. You can definitely see fine details—like the veins in a leaf or the texture of a pencil tip. The digital zoom works well, and the built-in LED lights help a lot when lighting isn’t ideal. What I really love is that it’s handheld and portable, so she’s not stuck at a desk. She’s taken it outside multiple times, and it's held up just fine. The plastic feels sturdy, and it’s lightweight enough for small hands to handle comfortably. You can also take pictures and videos, which is a huge plus! She loves showing her grandparents the “cool stuff” she’s discovered. If I had one minor complaint, it’s that the stand it comes with is a bit wobbly, but since she mostly uses it handheld, it’s not a big issue for us. Overall, this is a fantastic educational tool and a fun way to spark scientific curiosity in kids. Whether for homeschooling, science projects, or just exploration, I highly recommend it. Great value for the price! ... show more

  • Feals like a real tool instead of a toy
This handheld microscope was an instant hit at our kitchen table science night. The 3 inch screen is the game changer because kids can explore without squinting at a phone, and everyone can gather around the display to see the same view. Image quality is crisp for leaves, salt crystals, fabric weaves, and tiny insects, and the built in photo and video capture lets you save favorite discoveries for a little show and tell later. The form factor is light enough for small hands, and the included slides kit gives you ready to view samples plus room to make your own. Lighting is bright and easy to adjust so you can dial in detail without washing things out. There is a learning curve at higher magnifications. A steady hand helps a lot, and we found that bracing the scope on a book or using a simple stand makes focusing much easier. Once kids get the hang of moving the sample slowly and focusing in small steps, they settle into that quiet, curious mode every parent loves. For the money, it is an excellent value because you get a self contained screen, recording, and a starter slide kit in one package that works right out of the box. Pros include the larger 3 inch screen, simple photo and video capture, kid friendly portability, adjustable lighting, and an included slides kit, ... show more

  • This digital microscope is fantastic, everyone in family is fascinated with this!
This digital handheld microscope is worth every cent! The magnification is really great. This comes with a collection of slides that have samples on them to view. In addition the HD screen allows for capturing and saving a picture or video which can then be played back. You can save your specimens to a computer and share with friends or in the classroom. Perfect to keep for private reference. It is extremely easy to operate and this microscope once charged has a 3 hour battery life, Great for walks on beach, fields, woods or in your own neighborhood or inside home. Looking through every items with this handheld digital microscope brings a new dimension and awe to your young scientist, though my husband enjoyed it just as much if not more! I have even learned things viewing a penny! There are letters and even President standing inside the Lincoln memorial which I never saw with the naked eye. Also the letters 'FG' in the corner! I looked the penny on line to ensure I was not seeing things and it is confirmed that these are on pennies minted 1959 though 2008. It's safe to say that everyone in the family is fascinated with this microscope! Order yours today! ... show more
