Had an ATN X-sight 4K, night vision on my 300 Blackout, replaced it with the Zulus HD520, no comparison! The Zulus is half the size, half the weight, optics are clearer, and the IR works better. Straight out of the box, I tried the Zulus at sundown in light levels that would have had my 4K in grayscale, grainy picture, begging for IR, at 40 yards, and the Zulus was clear, full color, day mode at close to a hundred yards. Love the fact that the entire unit runs on one battery, one switch, when the scope is shut down the IR shuts down with it. More than once forgot to shut the IR off when I set the gun down, and next trip out battery was dead in my IR. The Zuus automatically shuts everything down, saving the battery as well as the scope battery. Battery change is relatively simple, although the 18650 flattop battery requires a light to determine correct orientation when changing it. Fantastic scope for the money!! I recently picked up the DNT Optics Zulus HD V2 Digital Day Night Vision Rifle Scope, and it has quickly become one of my favorite optics. The image quality is exceptional thanks to the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, ED glass, and the bright, high-resolution Micro-OLED display. Daytime views are sharp and vibrant, while nighttime performance with the built-in IR illuminator is seriously impressive — clear identification and crisp details out to significant distances. The V2 upgrades really shine: better battery life with the 21700 cells, smoother controls, faster 60Hz refresh, and improved low-light capability. I love the variable magnification (5-20x range on my model), easy one-shot zeroing, and how lightweight yet rugged the whole unit feels. It handles recoil well and stays zeroed through multiple range sessions and hunts. Whether it’s dawn, dusk, or full dark, this scope delivers reliable performance without breaking the bank. Video recording is a nice bonus too. If you’re looking for a versatile, high-performance digital day/night optic for hunting or tactical use, the Zulus HD V2 is an absolute winner.     • Great customer service.
I purchased 3 of these (V1 not V2 and non LRF) on 7/27/25. 1 had to be returned due to not powering on out of the box and after trouble shooting multiple times. It was replaced, no questions asked and the replacement works great. 1 is now not able to hold zero and shooting 4 feet (yes feet) left of where I’m aiming. The windage is maxed out. With that being said I contacted DNT directly (11/21) and they will take care of it under warranty. I’d buy this product again because of the price point, clarity, ease of use, and the image quality at night. But, beware you may have to go through a couple of bad apples to get the good one. This is solely speaking for the V1 models. I cannot speak on the V2 models. DNT Customer service is 5 stars! ... show more

Love it, mounted on FX Tactical 22cal. Works great for me. Zeroing was not a problem. If I have one complaint, it’s the battery life, I just bought better batteries. Will be buying a second for my FX Leopard 22cal. I use the scope for backyard pest elimination and plinking.

    • Absolutely awesome for the price.
I started getting into Nighttime Hog-Hunting recently and needed something I could use to see in the dark. When thermals start around $1000 I knew I had to find an alternative. This night-vision scope was it. I am not a long range hunter, most of the plots I am hunting on are no more than 300 yards across. With this scope I had no issues seeing, in detail, across those fields in all light conditions. The IR illuminator light does everything I need it to do. The focus feature is nice, but honestly I have been able to see perfectly fine at distance with it on the widest setting. The illuminator light is invisible to both you and the animals you are pursuing which is excellent for camouflage. It does seem to auto-shut off after 30 minutes though for some reason, but it is easy to turn back on. The hot-swappable batteries are amazing for this segment. Other devices have built in batteries. Batteries degrade, so being able to buy new cells in the future is huge. The included charger is sensitive to different power bricks. The one I found the most luck with was a Anker fast charge type C from Walmart. I believe it was 20 watts. The reticle works well. And the zeroing feature takes a little time to learn but is really cool. You can store something like 20 guns on it. So if you switch this between your guns (assuming you mount it in the exact same place) you won't have to re-zero it each time. My favorite part of this optic is the video recording feature. The resolution is great and works in both day and nighttime. You can also live stream the footage to your phone through the app. The first hog we got with this, I had the live video on my phone and helped call the shot for my friend. Super cool. The zoom is digital, but even at 20x it has enough detail to discern stuff. The starting zoom being 5x is a little awkward when hunting within 100 yards, so if that is your most likely use case, I would get the 3-12x instead of the 5-20x. In the future, I may pick up another DNT optic with their built in rangefinder, the YouTube videos look really cool. But for the money, this thing has unbeatable value. ... show more

I’m more than impressed with this. Typically a thermal hunter but built this for raccoons and small predators. Can clearly identify objects out to 200 yards. I still prefer the thermal scanner for locating first.

    • A Game Changer for 'coon, hog, or coyote
I didn't think I could afford a viable night vision scope for less than $1000. Plus all the bells and whistles on most scopes, seem frivolous and intimidating for an old technically illiterate such as me. Though this basic Zulus has some tecky features, after going thru the manual slowly and fingering most the features, using it becomes intuitive. One hiccup that I ran into during my brief learning curve was zeroing it. Yes, you can bees knees zero it with 1 shot. I can't. To do so, you need a very stable shooting bench so that your crosshairs truly are right on the bulls eye when taking your shot. Then the picture you take, using your Zulus, must have the crosshairs exactly on bullseye the same. Any variance between your shot and the pic leaves you not quite zeroed. I prefer to zero my scopes shooting in the same manner as when I hunt, so my aim is always imperfect. No problem shooting a group and then tweaking the crosshairs. The enhanced appearance setting is outstanding. Of course, nite use is in black and white. Setting 1 is no IR and then there's 5 brightness IR levels. My place is pretty wooded but at 95yds both setting 1 and 2 are well lit. The image is sharp enough to drop a racoon, stealing the bait, at that distance. It's lite, directions are clear and easy to understand with a youtube video assisting. The coyotes are coming close in and hunting my pet cats. I've obtained my night coyote hunting license and am putting this scope into service for a good cause. Highly recommended. ... show more
