Top Amazon Reviews

PREFACE - Before buying I literally read every single review on Amazon and read countless others on other websites, along with numerous videos. So below I will also address some of the previous concerns I’d read about from other reviewers (Spoiler Alert – ATN has obviously fixed or corrected everything thing that I’d read about). ;-) NIGHT VISION - Is Amazing!!! Basically, the night vision I’m seeing certainly seems to be VERY comparable to other “Night Vision” Scopes that cost MUCH more ($2K to $3K). So I am VERY impressed so far. Also unlike “regular optical night vision” (which is green) this system (which looks gray scale) does NOT get damaged if left out in the sun, nor does it have to be protected from light. Plus, the same scope is used during the day (double bonus). And, even when the infra-red illuminator is OFF…I was actually surprised…it was still MUCH better than I thought it would be (it does NOT need much light to be effective). So then, when the infra-red Illuminator is turned ON (even at its lowest power)….it really lights up everything like it is daylight when it is pitch dark. I am SUPER impressed.
It’s so good, I’m going to mount it to Quick Disconnect Rings, so I can use it as a Night Vision Monocular (even when not attached to a firearm or airgun. MULTIPLE ‘PROFILES’ - What a game changer…something only a digital scape can do. Essentially, a person can enter different Profiles for different firearms or Airguns and/or ammo…and with a Quick Disconnect (sold separately) it with be a cinch to switch. MICRO SD (sold separately, I got a SanDisk Ultra Plus 64GB) It is important to READ all instructions (which I did), where my friend did not. He and few reviews said they had Micro SD problems…well it’s important to do the Formatting in the Scope (it likes that). Plus, it will also be nice, as a person can "backup" their profiles to the Micro SD card, too. FIRMWARE UPDATES - Again, it’s important to READ all instructions…every single thing I’d read about or saw as an early model 2018 “glitch” has obviously been addressed with Firmware Updates. There was a Firmware Update for mine…and right away I got a super cool “Smart Reticle” that I did not have 1 minute earlier. So follow the instructions. And that “Smart Reticle” changes as you Zoom…again, things that only a digital scope can do. TWO (2) LIL’ ISSUES - That Oliver Vallero at ATN Corp Clarified and Fixed for Me… The USB A to USB-C charging cable that came was way too big to fit in the Scope’s USB-C slot. My buddy that also bought one, a day after I told him about mine…his also came with a USB-C that was too big. He and I are both Apple Techs, so we know it was not a matter of being tight…it was too big. Yet, being and Apple Level III Tech we both had other USB-C cords I/we could use until Oliver sends out a new cable. Plus, I supposed I could have cut away on the plastic on the USB-C end, but I’ll wait and see. 2nd thing…Oliver mentioned that the Manual’s suggested torque of 38 in.-lbs. was too MUCH for the Fixing Screw. So for everyone out there use 22-25 in.-lbs. / 2.485-2.824 Nm for the 30mm Scope Fixing Screw…and for the 30mm Scope Ring Screws, use 15 in.-lbs. / 1.694 Nm. Then finally, for the Infra-Red Illuminator use 22-25 in.-lbs. / 2.485-2.824 Nm for the Fixing Screw, and the Infra-red Illuminator Ring Screws use 12 in.-lbs. / 1.355 Nm. PHOTOS & VIDEOS - I’m really not planning on using it for photo’s or recording video to the SD card (but broadcasting to an iPad might be interesting with shooting buddies). WI-FI & ATN OBSIDIAN 4 App (Tips & Tricks) - The Obsidian 4 App is great for me and works GREAT with the iPhone 11 Pro. I’ve got it set up with a mount that holds my iPhone 11 Pro around my neck and puts the screen where I can see it like a heads up display w/no-hands…so for hunting rats at night…I just put the Umarex Synergis w/ATN X-Sight 4K Pro on a Tripod w/a Vanguard U-Yoke ($14.99 w/Free shipping) and I do NOT even have to look through the scope…I can just watch my iPhone and when the rats come out…POP. This is sooooooo cool!
Well, that was long and detailed, but that’s me…hope it helps others! :-)

This is my first review EVER, not just on amazon. This sight is great, was told by lots of people to go with a classic scope vs this, and boy am I glad I didn’t listen. The external IR that comes with this is very powerful, although I found that even in the OFF position, it still has slight energy use and thus, drains your CR123’s overnight. (IR uses 2-CR123 while the actual scope is re-chargable with great battery life) I do not use any of the ballistics calculator fancy stuff, I just zeroed (With the smart zeroing feature) my 6.5 Creedmoor @ 100 yards and it works like a charm. The app (I used iPhone) is good, although I get a very frustrating “Cannot open Stream” error message when trying to use the “Viewfinder” feature (Let a companion see what I see on my phone, since at night all they see is pitch black) Video recording is great, night vision is great, daytime view is great (even in very low light conditions) and when very little/no light is present at all, the IR is great. Other than that, I was out hunting coyotes last night enjoying myself so much I thought to myself, I gotta write a review and here I am. Hope this helps you decide quicker :)

I've had the ATN 4K Pro for a week now. The setup went smoothly thanks to the included instructions. There are a lot of features so it took a few range sessions to get the hang of everything. After some practice the zeroing process is easy to use. I've used the 4K Pro during the day and night. The included IR light has enough power to clearly illuminate targets between 100-150 yards. If you are shooting longer than 150 yards, I'd recommend upgrading the IR light. I was able to hit a 4.5" wide target at 200 yards at night, but the target was difficult to see. The only issue that I had was that the sight froze up while I was going through all of the settings. If you hold the power button down for 20 seconds the sight will perform a hard reset. Since then, it hasn't froze up again. Overall I think this is a great sight as an entry level night sight for hunting. I have the 3-14x model. I plan on using it within 200 yards so the lower power magnification fit my needs. If you are planning on going past 200 yards, I'd recommend the 5-20 model. The video recording feature is great for reviewing your shooting & hunting experiences. The video with this review is me shooting at night at a 100 yard target which is a 12" steel plate.

After much research I finally decided to pull the trigger on the 3-14 4K pro model. First off left me say, I am putting this on a Tikka t3x bolt action hunting rifle, not the typical ar platform most people are putting this scope on. This scope turned one of the lightest rifles on the market into the heaviest I have in my gun cabinet. (ATN says it weighs 2lbs, keep that in mind if weight is an issue for you) My purpose for this scope is so when I take my wife and kids hunting we can make sure that they are aiming properly and we can replay the shot to check placement, the night vision function will also be nice to check food plots after dark to make sure we don’t scare off deer getting down and alert them to our stand location. To mount this to the Tikka I had to buy Talley rings, but could not for the life of me find what the objective lens diameter is on this. After calling ATN the salesman said it has a 50mm objective lens. (Wrong!) I still do not know what the lens diameter is, but it is definitely more than 50mm. I had to use high Talley rings for it to fit this rifle. (No problem just life) Once I got the scope mounted and charged I followed the instructions exactly like ATN has in the manual and just like they say on their YouTube videos, and it works just perfectly like they say it will. One thing I did learn is that to turn on WiFi on the scope you have to go into the carousel and turn on advanced settings and from there you can turn on the WiFi. (this is found in the manual) Once the WiFi was on, the scope connected without an issue to the obsidian 4 app. A lot of reviewers did not follow the instructions and had problems, they probably failed kindergarten for not following instructions also. Recording with the scope is easy as can be, as well as taking pictures. The one shot zero is legit also, but if you have much experience, any quality scope on a bench test can do the same thing. The one thing I have had trouble getting used to is that looking into this scope you are actually looking AT a video screen, not THROUGH an optic. The picture is not as crisp on the screen as it would be through a traditional scope, but still amazingly good when considering what is happening for you to see it! The crispness comes through better when you watch on a bigger screen as your phone. All in all this is not a perfect fit for everyone no doubt, but if you are looking for something with the features this scope has you will not be sorry you bought the ATN.

My original rating was 5 stars but I have to change it. If I could give them a negative rating like -1000 stars, I would. I love the scope I bought (4K Pro 3-14)! Seems very well made, sturdy and so far, works great. That being said.....read the following very carefully: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ATN!!!!!!!! Let me repeat: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ATN!!!!!!!! While the product works great, their customer service is 100% NON-EXISTENT. I have sent them numerous (can't even begin to count how many) emails asking questions, etc., and I have not received any replies whatsoever. For example...if you go on their website and use their "chat", all you get is a "bot" that tells you to ask your question, leave a good email and a customer service rep will get with you shortly via email. "Shortly" appears to be a term measured in decades or possibly centuries...not minutes or days. I've done this a few times and have yet to get any replies. I have also sent them numerous emails asking about the status of an order. All I get is the generic "we are in short supply but anticipate that it will ship in 5-10 business days. Well, it's been a month and I cannot get anyone to give me an update. They simply do not return any emails or requests for answers.....on anything. Calling them is dicey also. If you don't believe my review, please feel free to Google "ATN Corp customer service". You will find that I am correct. Amazon really needs to take a look at their company and how they treat their customers. If you do buy from them, you better hope and pray your product never breaks because you will not get any customer service to repair it. You will be "S.O.L." *Update 12-17-21….I sent an email to the company because my scope “froze” up on 11-27-21. Wouldn’t shut off, reboot, nothing. The keys were frozen and nothing I did worked. I sent ATN an email asking what I should do. As of today (12-17-21) I have not received a reply. Their non-existent customer service is still…NON-EXISTENT.

I ordered this optic with a bit of nervousness after reading about firmware update failures. So upon receiving the optic, I mounted it on a rifle and did plenty of testing without worrying about the firmware update. Everything seemed fantastic - no issues with setup, very nice clear image, and night vision is acceptable with the included IR light (although I ordered a better light anyway). Curiosity got the best of me and I went ahead and did the firmware update. To my delight, the optic updated perfectly the first time (probably because I followed the instructions??!?!). This optic is jammed full of features and may be a bit intimidating to non-tech savvy folks... But the menus and buttons are quite intuitive and I found myself navigating through the features with no problem after just a few minutes. The smart rangefinder proves to be accurate, provided you know the approximate height of the object you are ranging. It is still an easy process and can be accomplished in a few seconds with some practice. For most hunting purposes, you should already know the height of the animal you will be ranging, so that data will be pre-entered. I cannot comment on the ballistics calculator yet as I have not been able to use it (due to MN weather in January). Overall I am very impressed with this optic and will probably purchase another!!

ATN outdid themselves on this one. I owned the ATN X Sight II. It was awesome! Then I got a chance to try this 4k from a friend out in the fields and I LOVED the design and the feel of the scope. Not to mention the LARGELY improved features. I love not using my Kinlie batteries. The rechargeable battery is enough in itself to justify the upgrade. The screen is crisp, clean, and bright. The user interface made plenty of sense to me being a previous owner of the X Sight II. The interface is much the same. I've heard bad reviews about the SD Card slot being no good, but that was a non-issue with me. I didn't see any problems at all with it. All in all, this thing is a 5-star product. I'm very happy with the device itself. I was distraught when Amazon told me they had lost the package, I bought this from a different site and will be reviewing there as well. Amazon's customer service DID come through, however and refunded me for the lost item and for that I'm very thankful. 4-stars for Amazon on this review. One star lost for the product not making it to my door but 4 stars for keeping their A-Z Guarantee and helping keep my blood pressure down!
