It's small so it doesn't take up that much room on a nightstand or end table but don't let that fool you because the numbers on this digital clock are large enough to see from anywhere, even in a large room! There is a setting that allows you to dim the screen at night but I don't bother with that because it also doubles as a nightlight. It holds the time accurately and has 2 alarms that you can preset which are plenty loud enough to wake me up when I need to use them. This clock looks great and really feels right at home in a children's bedroom. Setup was reasonably simple to understand out of the box, but it definitely helped to browse the included instructions. I'm not exactly thrilled that the clock has only a USB plug for a power cord, with no corresponding "charge block" to plug into the wall. This is only a minor gripe and hardly a dealbreaker, especially in my specific scenario. The clock side of the USB cable is a proprietary connector, which ensures that the cable won't grow legs and wander off when someone needs to charge their phone. It also means that if something happens to the power cord for your clock you may be stuck for a while until a replacement can be obtained. There is a battery-power option but as I haven't tried it I can't comment on it or on the accompanying sound-activated features. The brightness adjustment and time setting are accessible if not entirely intuitive, and the option to press a button to briefly display the temperature is a nice value-add. I was disappointed that there's no inclusion of the calendar date, nor does there seem to be a way to set the display to cycle the time and temperature like some other clocks can do. Given that the deployment in this case is a child's bedroom I'd hardly call it a "con" though. The two alarms are decently loud and appropriately disturbing, although I would have preferred a more obvious "snooze" button. With this clock, snooze is achieved by pressing the end button that's the same size as, and right next to, the others. This could easily lead to a sleeper simply silencing the alarm and thus oversleeping. It's important to note that setting the time is always done using a 24-hour clock format even if you've selected 12-hour format in the separate dedicated setting. I was confused initially but I figured it out fairly quickly. I can't comment on longevity or rugged durability since we only just got the clock but it has so far made a positive impression and has greatly enhanced the overall flow of routine in the mornings. ... show more
