The Dexas MudBuster Large Dog Paw Cleaner has been a game changer! It makes cleaning muddy paws so quick and easy before my dog comes inside. One of those purchases that you don't know if it's going to work but price says "why not try?" This thing rocks! We make sure it is in the car on trips and right by the back door when its raining. My Ridgeback is a bit skittish but using this item to wash her paws is a breeze. She doesn't seem to mind it. We dip the feet a couple of times, then dry with towel. Catches all the grit debris and cleans out easily. This is a winner.

Pros: It is quite large - in fact a bit too large for my Goldendoodle and 50 lb. Mut Dog, but it works! It has a screw off lid so it is easier to clean than others that you have to pop off the top. Cons: It is so big that I have a hard time holding it while washing off the dogs' feet. I have to place it on the ground, hold it steady with one hand and wash a foot with the other hand. Different from what I am used to, and I like to be able to hold the washer while I am using it, but it works! It does not come with a silicone paw brusher. That is my fault because I did not double check it, but I was looking at many others that did come with an extra brusher, so I assumed this one did. Because this one was more expensive than the others, I just assumed it came with the brusher. Bottom Line: This one works, but it seems to be more expensive and is less functional than the other one we had. I am keeping it, but when we have to buy another one, I will buy one that is smaller and has a paw brush.

I feel like I've just about tried it all when it comes to keeping muddy pawprints off of my new, light colored floors: dog booties, dog cleaning wipes, and now the Mudbuster. There just aren't any dog booties out there right now that will stay on my dogs' paws. I have two 70-pound mixed breeds-- a boy and a girl. The booties don't come up high enough, and no matter how tightly I wrap the velcro strap around their paws (can't be too tight either or it'll be uncomfortable and impractical for them), the booties flip off and go flying the second the dogs begin to run around in the yard. I would end up having to go outside to find the lost booties and have to clean my dogs' paws anyway. I even looked at dog booties that are attached to a suspender-like harness, but I didn't want to get that desperate yet. My dogs didn't really like walking in the booties anyway. Most of the time they just stood there and stared at me like they weren't sure what to do now. The dog cleaning wipes were my next choice. I tried two different brands. They were just ok. I had to use multiple wipes per dog, and it wasn't that great at getting the mud off. It would also flick lots of pieces of mud and dirt off their paws onto my floor. Which finally led me to the Mudbuster. Although it's a bit messy to use because of the water, this takes 1st Prize easily over the other two aforementioned options I tried. The Mudbuster is like a giant deep cup that holds lots of water, you stick your dog's paw in there, rub it against the soft silicone-like bristles, and it does an excellent job at cleaning them off. You'll just need a towel with you to dry off the paw after you dunk it in the water. I uploaded a video of myself and my boy this morning demonstrating the Mudbuster. It's about 3 minutes long, but that's all it takes. Compared to vacuuming and mopping and scrubbing dirt and mud off the floors and carpets, it's worth it. I bought 2 Mudbusters, one for each dog. I fill each up with warm water after I let them outside and grab a couple towels. My dogs have quickly adapted to getting their paws cleaned after coming inside on rainy days and don't seem to mind them at all. They seem to prefer that anyway to me picking at and scrubbing their pads. Since I've used this product so many times, I've gone through the process of cleaning them and it's not bad at all. All I did was pull a little on a tab on the inside of the cup near the top, and it let me take the silicone part out in one piece to where it was just the cup left. Washed each piece off with warm water and carefully placed the bristled part back inside, and voila. This product gets 5 stars from me because, for me, it's the best thing that's worked so far at keeping my floors clean. It takes a little bit of work and some towels, but it's totally worth it. Also, my dogs do so well with this product, it's hard not to appreciate that too!

This is a game changer! Just buy it. I have a husky mix who has fur on his feet that get caked with mud in the winter months, this gets all the mud right off and my dog is actually agreeable to it! He’s pretty sensitive about his paws so this is a big win.

This has made cleaning my coonhound’s feet so much easier after our walks. She has allergies and tends to chew her feet if we don’t rinse them well after walking. I put a drop of duoxo soap, add water and scrub away. This product is wonderful!

Whoever invented this is a genius! After I play frisbee with my dog in the backyard I use the Mud Buster. I fill it just over halfway with warm water. When I insert each paw, I do NOT twist the Mud Buster as the instructions say to do, bc my dog doesn't like that. Instead, I dunk each paw in and out several times and he's fine with that motion. It's extremely effective at removing mud, dirt & debris! Then I towel dry each paw gently, doing my best to get in between the pads and toes. I have the medium size Mud Buster. My dog is a 70 lb pit bull, for reference. Before I got this one, I had the large size and it was way too big, the opening and length. The large is for really big dogs like a Great Danes, Rottweilers, and German shepherds. Glad I got the medium now bc it's so much easier to handle and maneuver it! HOWEVER, I had to DIY customize it slightly by cutting off approx a quarter inch of each of the silicone "bristles" bc the bristle length was too crowded / tight on his paws before. Now it's the perfect fit. After I'm done cleaning his paws, I dump the dirty water outside or down the sink. Then I disassemble it, which only takes a few seconds, and rinse off all the parts and let them air dry in the tub. It's a very quick and easy reassembly for next use. if you have a dog, then you definitely need this! When u see how brown and dirty the water is after using this on your dog's paws, u will know u made the right purchase!!
