For context, I've never used a true mechanical keyboard before. In fact, most of the keyboards I've used in the past were laptop keyboards or cheap $10 keyboards. This thing completely blows them out of the water. I've only used it in the wired mode thus far, so I can't speak to the battery life or longevity, but the red switches feel very nice and consistent. If a laptop keyboard is like scraping ice off a windshield, then this is like skiing. A few things to know: (1) This is a small keyboard, though not any different than expected from the picture. I was actually going for a cleaner desk setup so this works great. I was initially concerned that the arrow keys would be annoying to get to, but using the fn key to access them actually works just fine. (2) Compared to regular office keyboards, this is quite loud. I hear that you can swap out the switches for more quiet ones, though I haven't tried that. It is a satisfying sound anyways, so I'll leave it as it is. (3) I'm not sure if it was supposed to or not, but it doesn't come with extra keycaps. This said, the keys it comes with feel very nice and look good. (4) There's a bunch of different keyboard shortcuts for switching between wired mode and wireless mode, so read the instructions carefully. ... show more

    • Great keyboard for beginners!
Color: Red switch
This keyboard is very good at its job, the keyboard lights and look, and the sound. The battery life is great and lasts long hours of RGB lighting while still staying responsive. The feel is very nice along with the rich texture and detail of the keyboard. It is still crazy of how the prices of keyboards has went down and nowadays you can get decent keyboards, for the price of a whole pizza. The keyboard functions are great along with the amount of cool stuff to play with, feels nice and high quality switches for the price you’re getting. Over all, it’s a very nice keyboard and I recommend it for starters in the gaming world if you’re trying out any keyboard or are building a computer gaming setup. Compatibility is very nice as it includes USB support to Xbox and pc (I’m sure about ps5). -NOTE- if you find your way into a blinking green light on any of the switches with W, Q, or E. Just press and hold “FN + R” for 1 second and it will go away. It’s with the Bluetooth mode with the keyboard and that it might happen when your gaming, and can affect you by stopping your movements. ... show more

I normally like to wait until I use something for a period before I submit a review. It also takes a lot to impress me. I am so impressed with this keyboard that I must write a review now. I took a chance on this keyboard because there were no reviews for it. I wanted a Mechanical keyboard that was 60%, had a hot-swappable PCB, and had re switches out the gate. This keyboard hit all those marks. The thing that really got my attention was that a second keycap set was included. I thought that this would be going to only be half a set. THEY INCLUDED A WHOLE SECOND KEYCAP SET. The packaging felt premium. Everything was placed in the box with care and the box and packaging are well thought out. Inside the box, there is the Keyboard, Braided USB C cable, Keycap puller, Switch puller, spare switches, and a full keycap set. The keyboard itself feels heavy and made of nice plastic. I got the red switches. I have six other Mechanical keyboards but none of them have red switches. I really like the feel of the switches as I am typing this out. Gaming is also a very fluid experience that I am impressed by. The keycaps feel good and I have no complaints here. The cable is USB C like all new electronics should. If you buy a mechanical keyboard, I recommend getting a better keycap and switch puller. The included ones are subpar at best. They will get the job done but for not that much you can get something a lot better. All in all, I would highly recommend getting this keyboard. If you are not a fan of Red switches, there are also Blue and Brown switches. I honestly feel like I spend $150 on this keyboard it is that nice. If you have read this far just buy it and you will not be let down. I am definitely going to be getting more Newman Electronic products. ... show more

    • Great 60% Keyboard
Color: Red switch
Review Image by K. T. O.
The Newmen GM610 60% Keyboard is well built and has many features that you wouldn't expect at this price point Newmen seems to fly under the radar and there is very little on the internet about this under priced 60% Bluetooth wireless/wired keyboard. This board is not a cheap bare bones unit considering the onboard Bluetooth 3.0 and 5.0 and the ability to assign and quickly choose from three different devices via the onboard Bluetooth with a simple function key combination as well as a wired option with a USB -C connector. This little keyboard rivals the more expensive popular brand boards out on the market today. You have the option of blue, brown or red switches which should give most what they are looking for in a 60% board. I opted for the red switches which are just right for my needs of general typing and some gaming and they sound great without being annoyingly loud. The switches are hot-swappable 3-pin OUTEMU switches which have a wonderful feel and in my opinion is perfect right out of the box. The GM610 also comes with an extra full set of dark blue key caps and 14 red caps for the control /function keys which allows you to mix and match key colors for a custom look on your desktop. I don't think you can go wrong with this little keyboard for the price and custom options that come along with it. I am using this keyboard with my desktop Raspberry Pi 4 Model B 8Gb and I am considering purchasing another one in the very near future so I can take one on the go with my portable Raspberry Pi Cyberdeck build. ... show more

    • A lot for the price!

This package is a lot for the $25 I paid for during Black Friday. Swappable mechanical keys, dongle, Bluetooth, and included wire for wire connection. On top of that you get a whole set of extra keycaps! Key caps alone was worth the price I paid for it already. Amazing keyboard set. The key click sound itself is not as clicky and annoying as it is on video shown, but does sound nice and clear. If I had to nit pick it, it would be that the keys aren't springy enough and could use more resistance. Also, really wished there was a place holder on the keyboard for the 2.4G dongle, because I mainly use the keyboard as a backup, and on the go, and would hate to lose such a tiny thing. Works great for my Samsung Dex setup with portable monitor. ... show more

    • Great at first....but then....
Color: Red switch
Newmen, if you're reading this PLEASE reach out to me. I'm unsatisfied but willing to resolve this issue. EDIT: I initially gave this a high rating because it's initial performance was stellar. I have since changed my mind... It's been a few months and the keyboard just died out of the blue on me today. It will still light up and still shows up in my device manager, but I could type on the keys all day with no result and when I open the app, it shows no device connected. The other unfortunate part about this is that the return window is only a month or so so if it dies after that, you're left with no recourse. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A QUALITY KEYBOARD!! I'm very happy to be running this keyboard now. I was expecting there would be some compromise I'd have to make since this is a "budget" keyboard, but not in the slightest. The app is easy to use, the keys and switches function, and it has so many lighting options! Love it!! ... show more

    • Nice Small Keyboard for Using With a Phone
Color: Red switch
Review Image by CaveDweller24
I'm using this as a Bluetooth keyboard on my new Samsung S24 Ultra and it's working great. It pairs quickly with the phone and I love the back light. The keycaps have an awesome retro look with the tan color and red highlights. I also like the bonus purple and blue keys the keyboard came with. I charge the keyboard whenever I think about it but I haven't run out of battery yet. It uses USB-C, so I just use the Samsung charger with it. The small size means I can actually fit this in my laptop bag if I wanted to use it with my ThinkPad. These are red switches, so they are clicky but not quite as loud as the blue switches. I have another brown switch keyboard and I'd say they're a little louder than brown but quieter than the blue. Definite bonus points for making the keyboard switches hot swappable, though these red switches are great so I don't feel any need to swap them. This will definitely extend the longevity of the keyboard, because it's user repairable. ... show more
