Work great. I have purchased over 4 units and all are working. I use the 115VAC model because I operate my home on solar. Very efficient on power use and QUIET!. Don't waste your money on noisy window mount units. Takes 4-6 hours to install, If you have an AC friend that can vacuum the lines after install, verify no leaks, just open the valves on the compressor unit and it is pre-filled with refrigerant.

I’m very impressed with this minisplit, I installed it on my motorhome after a tornado damaged the rooftop AC. On the initial start, it was 85 outside and about 90 inside, brought the inside temperature down to 68 in just under an hour. On the first boot, it drew 900 watts until it was down to about 75 degrees, then it drew about 700 watts until it was down to 68 (set temp.) At 68, it floats between 200-600 watts, averaging about 300 watts used per hour. My 500 watt solar array in direct sunlight runs it without issues and even charges the battery bank slightly during the brightest parts of the day. Installation was straight forward, I have some residential electrical experience, some automotive experience and 0 hvac experience and I got it installed in about 5 hours. The included instructions aren’t the best, but YouTube gave me pretty much all the information I needed to get it done. Overall, 10/10 it was way better in every way than I expected and works well in a motorhome application! Just one thing to note, I just tied this to the breaker my old rooftop AC used which was 30 amps. I expected this to use a similar amount of power with similar wires, but because it uses such little power and uses such thin wire I replaced it with a 15 amp breaker, and you should too! If there’s a short somewhere, the included wires certainly wouldn’t pass enough current to trip a 30 amp breaker. This is a significant upgrade to the rooftop AC, and the one i had was pretty new and an efficient model

I bought this because it was one of the best prices for the size BTUs that I needed for my new home office. It was also critical that it be a unit that runs on 115 volts and 20 amps because my panel does not have a lot of room and I only have 100 amp service. I ran a dedicated 20 amp run to the panel using 12/2 wire and installed a disconnect at the outside unit. You will need to vacuum the lines, so if you can't or don't want to do that, get a professional to install. Now the office stays nice and cold during the day (06/27/2024) with my desktop and monitors trying to warm things up. It is actually too cold, but that is a nice problem to have.

The media could not be loaded. Bought it, had an ac guy install it for me in my 200 sq/f shop (overkill was intentional). it worked great that whole summer. Didn't use the heater the following winter, so never got to try it out. This past fall, (2024) it stopped blowing cold air (Louisiana falls are just extra summer) and displayed an error code E0. I reached out to their support team and explained my problem, they replied back with a troubleshooting guide for the E0 code and told me they’d replace it under warranty if it turns out to be broken. I had my ac guy out at the beginning of this year (01/07/25) and he found that it was the outdoor unit’s control board. I emailed this to Rovsun support, not asking for a handout, not complaining about their product, but asking where I could purchase a new control board (by this time I was certain I was out of warranty) It’s been almost two months and I’ve heard nothing back from them. I don’t like writing critical reviews, but I gave them my money, they gave me a product that broke after a year, and won’t even sell me the part to fix it.. Will update if something changes. ***UPDATE: Since the past update I’ve removed the control board and gotten into diagnosing it myself..since there is no support offered. With that being said, I’ve found the issue. The 15 amp slow burn fuse was blown, which is often a symptom of failure, rather than a cause. I removed a massive heat sink from the board to reveal a blown MOSFET, with no thermal paste on it. What use is a heat sink if you don’t use thermal paste? I inspected the other components and thankfully, they were still in good working order. So I’ll be replacing the MOSFET, a fuse, and adding thermal paste, and seeing if I can get it working again. If you’re not comfortable doing any of this, I’d advise spending the extra money on a quality product with quality support, as this product was not a diamond in the rough, but rather a plastic gem, that you’d find in your average ¢.25 machine at the grocery store. To sum up, I got what I paid for.

This is the second one I buy (for different room), I like them a lot. They are quiet and are quick to cool. Be aware that you will need to get refrigerant for the unit, it’s doesn’t come with it (we paid $285/unit for the guy to come do it). I also removed a star because I don’t think there’s a setting where the unit stop cooling once it reaches your desired temperature (i have it set at 85 so it stops cooling since the room is too cold already, but it won’t). Overall, it was the cheaper one out there and I’m not mad about it, I like that it’s quiet and sort of discreet for such a bulky piece, but it’s a either on all day or off all day things.
