This hose does come wound rather tightly and initially the curls are kind of annoying, but it only took about a week of use and "proper" rolling before those were no longer evident. This hose is heavy-duty and I love it. It is as easy to unroll, roll, and store as any hose I've ever owned. No leaks and one of my favorite feature is the entire 6-ish inch section on the female end turns. This makes attaching and detaching so much easier than other hoses. Nice hose, you still have to coil and uncoil if you are putting it away coiled up. However, it does not fight you and is easily handled, particularly if you turn the water off when putting it away. I found it easier to handle than other real hoses. What is nice is that it does not become a sticky mess if left in the sun, as my previous hose did. You do not end up with black hands and my other rubber hoses do. I have had it for several weeks in the summer heat (100-106) and I have been pleased with the results. ... show more
