I'm cautious about what kind of charger I'll hook up to my phone, so I was even more picky when choosing a home charger for my wheels. Didn't have a charger for home - had relied on charging at work and when out and about, but the convenience of being able to charge overnight at home is just fantastic and I wish I'd installed one much sooner, but again, I didn't want to hook up just anything to, as my dad would say, "the only car you have!" Really is a "smart" charger and has plenty of features to trickle the juice with precision and planning. Have a lot of faith in DeWalt (wish I had more DeWalt tools - across the board), and they have always ensured quality control with their products, so very little anxiety about getting a higher-investment product from them. Would make a fantastic holiday gift, and it won't take an electrical engineer to hook it up. Really great investment, and even better to be able to leave home with plenty of miles to go. For the investment, you could end up with a less well-known brand with fewer features, or you could get this DeWalt, which is built to last for years and years and has a ton of features.

Having seen all sorts of EV chargers in the last few years, I got to say that this Dewalt home EV charger is one of the most rugged designs that I have seen so far. Following in the footsteps of their legendary powertool lineup, this Dewalt product is no different. Some of the features of this beast of a EV charger are a robust external construction, LCD display, 25 feet of heavy gauge cabling, J1772 connector, and a NEMA 14-50 plug. This unit has built in WIFI, and BT so it can be used with the DEWALT smartphone app (for both android and iOS). Inside the app you can schedule charging sessions and charging rates (up to a maximum rate of 9.6Kw). The main body includes a caged design to protect the charger from impact (accidently backing up your vehicle into it), and has a built in holster to hold the J1772 connector in place). My impression of this charger is that it is overengineered (a good thing) and overbuilt. Im not just saying this because of the history of the brand itself, but it clearly shows when you see it in person. This charger comes with a 3 year warranty which is a bonus. Can be used on all North American EV's, but you will need an adapter to physically use it on a Tesla vehicle. Make sure you circuit is at least 50Amps.

First of all, I really enjoy this branded Dewalt charger- the quality can’t be beat, I don’t fear that it is going to fry my house/car electrics. It is well made and looks like it can take rough treatment and not break on you. The cord length is perfect, much better than average 10-15ft you get with the other chargers. It does the job quickly,twice faster than my old offbranded one ( also level 2). The installation is fairly easy, even though I had to get help to do it, it didn’t take much time at all- I am just not a pro with electric stuff. It is a little heavy, heavier than the average. Generally, despite it being on the pricier side, I think it provides a good value for what it is.

This is a rugged charger; it just has that rugged feel to it and the front protection is a nice touch. It was simple to install and set up. The Bluetooth and WIFI are awesome and work well. This charger feels well made and has a 25' charging cable that makes it easier to get to our charging port without having to pull all the way in the garage. The plugs feel well made and fit well with no play but not difficult to remove. We have used this charger for the last month and have had no issues. We are pleased with this charger, and we would buy it again. 5 STARS

This is a very nice EV charger made by Dewalt. If you're a Dewalt addicted like ne then this charger is for you. This charger will deliver up to 48 Amp of current and is compatible with any EV. The charger is displayed with all of the standard coloring and build quality you would expect from Dewalt. This comes with a 25 Foot cord and also comes with a mounting plate. You can't go wrong with this charger.

This is one heck of a product. It is very well made and performs exactly as they claim. The app is excellent and easy to use. I can select the power if I want to trickle charge to get extra long life from the battery or super charger it do get to 100% fast.
