Description

The DEWALT 60 V MAX chainsaw features a low kick back 16 In. Oregon bar and chain for both construction and outdoor cutting applications. Its tool-free chain tensioning and bar tightening knob enable proper bar clamping force, and it features auto-oiling for continuous lubrication. It has a 60 V MAX FLEXVOLT battery that Powers 60 V MAX tools or it can be backwards compatible to work with 20 V MAX tools.

Purchases this for clearing trails and carrying with me on my ATV and SXS while out in the woods. I have professional serious gas chainsaws and wanted something light and easy to toss in the back of my UTV. I've now used this saw multiple times and ran it through several batteries and all I can say is wow. I'm in love. I havent even looked at my gas saws since this baby arrived. Battery life is impressive, but I purchased 2 of the 9.0amp hour batteries in addition. They seem to last forever. I have yet to need more than 2 batteries out all day in the woods. I have had no issues with bar oil leaking like others have mentioned... but I also clean it after heavy use. Simple enough. The saw is light and easy to carry around and is impressive with what it'll cut. I cut a few downed trees up this saw should have had no business cutting but I tried and not only did it work, it worked amazingly well. One tree was 30 inches diameter. Had to cut both sides but it handled it no problem! The chain hasn't need sharpened yet and probably has a solid 4 hours of use on it. Still sharp. I know it's expensive I was apprehensive about buying it due to the price...don't be. Just buy it and thank me later. ... show more

    • Great saw.
I'm using this for small, 8" or less firewood. It had great power and I'm surprised how long the battery lasts. I have cut bigger wood with it and it can handle it, but that's what gas chainsaws are for.

Like some, I got just plain tired of trying to start these gas chainsaws. This DeWalt battery chainsaw is absolutely the best product I have ever bought for clearing out saplings and removing smaller undesirable trees. Just jump of the quad , cut and run!! No more hauling gas, oil mixing, no more earplugs and no more trying to start a gas version each time I stop. Not to say the least much lighter. Highly recommended. ... show more

Almost, haha be super careful and read the whole document as-well as watch a bunch of YouTube videos cause oh boy, using a chainsaw with sandals, gym shorts, and no gloves, no safety glasses is sketchy. Had to order some safety equipment cause the dust gets in your eyes, and it slips a little bit without good handling and steady control. ... show more

I am a 62 yr old female and this saw is awesome. User friendly, and cuts small and large limbs with ultimate ease. My husband loves it and so do I.     • Very disappointed
The first one the oiler died, now the second one has the same problem No oiler, lasted about 5 batteries. I have been a dewalt fan for years and own most of there cordless products, so its very disappointing to have such a poorly designed saw. There is a little pin that is plastic and it runs the oiler gear "plastic" back and forth. Well it is fragile and broke off on both saws. Junk dont waste your money. Probably going to buy a Stihl now. There just very expensive but probably reiable. ... show more
