    • Shuts down when I stop spraying.

I have used many pressure washers, both electric and gas power. However, I have never used a pressure washer that shuts off automatically when you stop spraying. The model does. If this is common for this model, I would stay away from this pressure washer since it needs to be restarted each time you stop spraying to make and adjustment or switch spray nozzeles. Which bring me to the next issue. This model is hard to start cold, turned on the choke and after 6-12 pulls I had to turn off the choke and pull start a few more times and then turn the choke back on and hope that it would start. Now, since it shuts down when I release the handle, I have to do the same to restart. Activate the choke and make one pull and then turn the choke off and hope it will start. On the plus site easy to assemble. The instruction manual is very good (small print so you may need readers). Follow-up 11/29/2023. Reported issue with Amazon and was sent a replacement pressure washer at no charge. The replacement works perfect. The actual problem was the plastic tube that came out of the gas tank was broken not allowing the pressure washer to get the fuel. I want to thank the amazon support folks for an excellent response to the issue and even a greater response to the solution. Thank you Amazon. I set up and used my new pressure washer for a test run and it worked fine for a couple of hours. I shut down, with the intention of finishing the task the following day. After checking all fluids, I started the unit this morning and it worked fine for a couple of minutes and then shut down. I went to restart the washer, and it not only would not start, but the pull cord to start the engine would not retract. I called Amazon to get service and was passed around between their customer service and DeWalt's, retelling my story multiple times, and being passed along to another representative, who would be THE ONE, who would help me resolve my issue. The line somehow disconnected twice, so I got to call back and retell my story yet again. The last customer rep (Amazon this time) told me that I needed to write an email to DeWalt and explain the situation (I had be assured that he was the one Amazon rep who would definitely be able to solve my problem, but he just passed me off to DeWalt, after waiting on hold for another 15 minutes). I guess I'll write a letter to DeWalt just to cover all bases. I bought this unit based on the DeWalt name. It was a replacement for a cheap no-name Chinese unit, but at least that lasted for a couple of years - not dying on its second use. I don't know if I'm more disappointed with this horrible pressure washer. or the awful customer service I received trying to resolve this problem. ... show more

wow... Very nice PW! I purchased this one after the one I got from Lowes/Briggs engine ~ 8 years ago, finally croaked. (I do not like Briggs & Stratton). What is on this new Dewalt PW is a Chinese copy of a Honda. Having been in the Lawn Care Industry for many years I have to say that the Chinese [Honda] copies are as ever as good, better than B&S for sure. The Pump is much more powerful than what I expected. The price, quality and 3 day delivery makes this a winner for me. Now, what I don't like is that squirely metal handle holder - it does not hold the PW gun at all. It just falls off. I will have figure something out to make (jimmy-rig) a better PW gun holder better.... ... show more

I bought this and it came with some dents and bent handle, but nothing too crazy. The part that sucked was it was missing the spray wand. Annoyed, I reached out to Amazon support to see if I could get one sent to me. Amazon held true to their customers and sent me a new unit. The second attempt. The second unit they sent me was better, with less visible dents and no apparent bends. The issue is, it was missing a pin (that holds the wheel to the unit) and it didnā€™t come with oil (the first unit did). After getting the second unit, Iā€™m now thinking the first unit wasnā€™t fully new, as they were at different levels of assembled. Frustrating, but Amazon support made it right with a partial refund. The actual performance of the pressure washing is decent. It seems to struggle a little bit keeping pressure when I just hold the nozzle open in use. I have to only have it in use for 5-10 seconds at a time and give it a break to let it build pressure. I was looking through the owners manual to see if there was anything obvious that would be wrong, but none of them applied to the situation. I would recommend this pressure washer, but just a warning that you may have some issues getting a unit that isnā€™t damaged in shipping or missing some parts. ... show more

Seems like a sturdy build and starts up easily. I like the tight seals around where the hose connects. It provides solid pressure, which works well for cleaning my pool deck and pavers. Iā€™m happy with how it performs.
