I thought I needed a new mower battery since it's 4 years old now. It's been sitting all winter. I tried to start it and as expected it was dead. So I left this charger on for 48 hours in the mower shed and it started right up. It probably only needed an overnight charge but since it was raining I just left the charger on it for 48 hours. It's convenient too when my Mother goes on long trips she asks me to drive her SUV to keep it charged up. Now I'm just gonna hook this up to her battery to keep it fresh I don't have to mess with driving her SUV around. This will not 'jump' a battery it's just a trickle charger to refresh and old or dead battery from winter storage or to keep a newer battery from draining while the vehicle is stationary for weeks to months. ... show more

I bought this to put on a ATV battery cause I didn't run it much, it works great! Seemed hard to find at the time. I am glad I found this. You dont worry about it getting damp like others. I really trust dewalt!

I loved everything about this small, easy to use device. One has to remember that at 4 amps it does not charge a battery very quickly but, as a trickle maintainer it definitely does the job.

This item surprised pleasantly. Item is self regulating and will pause if any issues in charging or power fluctuations which should protect your items. Needs to be on its own power plug when charging as Other power draws will pause it, which is a good thing. Has been outdoors for my 12v auto to trickle and tops off fairly fast and lights update you on status. If no lights, make sure item has its own plug in case the power draw is setting its safety features off. Would definitely buy/recommend!!! ... show more

Connected it, 10 seconds of yellow “charging” before it turned green “full charge.” The battery is dead after 10 mins as well as 8 hours. The indicator light or the device doesn’t work. The battery can be boosted off with another device and run fine, but the green light in 10 seconds is an indicator the device doesn’t function properly. ... show more

DeWalt Battery Charger is relatively new to me. Haven’t left it out in the rain, nor do I intend to. Brought my tractor battery back to life after multiple cold fronts. Am getting ready to revive my lawn more battery as well.
