Good mower overall. The batteries look identical to the 6AH batteries that work with the 7” circular saw but they are 12AH and have better performance. My yard was overgrown due to rain and then the delivery wait for this mower. Not wanting to wait I used two of my 6AH batteries that I had purchased for my circular saw while the two new batteries were charging. My 6AH batteries died right as I hit halfway point of mowing my yard. I wasn’t feeling too good about my purchase at this point. I was concerned Inwould need anll four batteries to mow my yard when my old craftsman did it with one rather large battery. I alap ended up having to wait two more days because the 12AH batteries weren’t charged yet and the next day was raining when I got home from work. When I got home from work today all four batteries were charged and I decided to throw in the new batteries to see how they worked. Near the end of mowing I anxiously awaited the mower to just suddenly die as it had on the first day I mowed with the circular saw batteries. To my surprise they didn’t die but was positive they needed a charge. Ran them back into my garage and hit the remaining life button on each battery before I plugged it in to charge and they still had three bars. I am no longer concerned about my purchase. The self propel rear wheel drive is nice, but it does make the mower weigh close to 100 lbs. my old craftsman was half that weight but also no drive motor. ... show more

I got this lawnmower last fall because my old Toro is giving me headaches. I don't know, but compared to the Toro this has a lot more vibrations when mowing. I don't know if this is by design, or I have a bum one. Just today some of the screws holding the deck to the transmission came loose. All my power tools are DeWalt and that's why I chose this mower because I have their batteries, but I could have saved myself the aggravation, and went with other brands, or another gas powered one. The blade seems verye weak, and at hitting anything more than a twig will cause it to bend. The batteries provided with the mower, 12AH, seem to have the capacity of 6Ah. My older 9ah batteries last longer than the batteries supplied. Also, this spring they seem like they degraded very fast, at least one of them . ... show more

Can't review what Fleet sent. The shipping label called out this product, but ... they sent a POLE SAW. Had to do a return, and it was hard to get the prepaid label - 3 calls to Amazon. Fleet was decent about it, but when your guys put the right label on the wrong box, remediation should be easier. Should have shipped the correct product and sent the prepaid label immediately. Well, all sorted out now. To review the mower (which I got online from CPO for $50 less with their "SPRING" coupon), it is pretty much as advertised: Gas-equivalent power, mows very well, (mulching, haven't tried other modes), batteries are the Flexvolt 12A (the "Y2" in the model number). Sturdy Heavy, about 75 pounds, but that's comparable to competitive RWD battery mowers. RWD takes a bit of practice as to how hard to squeeze the handles. Not as maneuverable as hand-push - a slight woman might find it difficult in tight spaces. Manual lacks something; doesn't explain RWD operation well. Keeps underdeck clean, and doesn't slop clippings onto the sidewalk. Box proudly proclaims Made in USA. DeWalt offers 90-day refund no questions asked. I'm editing because some folk mention problems which have to do with missing pieces. Dunno whether these result from poor packing or returned/resold product. But this product has a plastic key, packed with the bolts that attach the upper part of the handle, and if it isn't inserted, no run. Nor is it all that obvious. Also, ya gotta press the big button before ya pull the bail, not the opposite order, or also no run. I like the mower pretty well after several uses. Superb cut, and enough wider than previous gas mower to mow in fewer strips. But DeWalt needs to reduce the weight. It hand-pushes OK, but that's where you feel it if you must maneuver a lot. Wonder whether they could do the deck out of ABS. Wonder whether the FWD model is enough lighter to make a difference. ... show more

The first Dewalt mower arrived with a broken piece. It was replaced without a problem. The second one arrived two days after I ordered it. Easy to start, light weight and the rear wheel drive is a plus.

It arrived in a clear tape resealed box with both batteries missing. I contacted the seller. They said they would contact dewalt/black and decker and advise them about the missing batteries. To my pleasant surprise, I received two new batteries from the manufacturer via UPS this week. They have an adjustable speed dial for the self propelled drive. Doesn't work. I can still use use it by gently compressing the forward drive handles. You also have to read the instructions closely on how to turn it on. I guess they made it more complex for safety purposes. It does a fine job cutting my lawn. If you turn it on, the blade is on. So if you want to use the self propelled feature to get to another part of your property, the blade is continuously turning. Only way to turn the blade off is to turn off the whole mower. ... show more

This purchase was a no-brainer! THE MOWER IS FREE! All you pay for is two big 12ah batteries that are included and actually would cost more if purchased separately. Even if the mower is sub par, I've got a nice pair of super-size batteries to run my leaf blower, weed trimmer, and chainsaw!

I requested to return and refund. Amazon sent me a returning shipping label which request me to pay the shipping fee. It would be over $ 100.
