I am a big fan of Dewalt handheld tools. I’ve not had the same experience with their larger tool offerings. This tool arrived on a crate surrounded with a cardboard box. Very little effort to unpack plugged in seemingly works well. However! The filter was compromised and dirty. The filter housing did not allow for ease of access. The release valve at the bottom of the tank leaked and most concerning the oil in the compressor pump was LOW, well below the low level fill point. The Campbell Hossfeld rep was awesome and replacement parts are on their way. I’ll update you as they become available and I get more time with its use. ... show more

    • Lots of air leaks and other problems....

Came delivered on a pallet very secure. Amazon did a good job on the delivery with no damage to the packaging. The compressor had several air leaks that I had to fix myself because it would not hold air. Did the bubble test and multiple fittings were leaking and one of them I found was cross-threaded. Tried calling the 800 number in the manual and all I got was an answering machine to Campbell & Hausfeld. It seems that Campbell & Hausfeld manufactures these compressors for Dewalt. I tried several times and I was never able to talk to customer service and nobody called me back. Also the holes for the rubber feet were drilled too small for the included hardware so I had to redrill the holes to install the feet. An incredible amount of problems that I didn't expect from a company like Dewalt who seemingly has a good reputation. I will not go with dewalt next time I purchase a large tool. Luckily I was able to get everything working on my own, but I shouldn't have had to repair a brand new compressor that costs nearly $1000, not to mention no customer service... ... show more

The compressor is great and no problems. The company I bought it from ( CPO Outlet ) is a different story. They had the compressor shipped to me a residential customer, in a residential community on an 18 wheeler with no way to get it off the truck. I can't for the life of me understand why a company would assume I have a forklift or me and 3 other grown men to unload the compressor. Thank you to T Force Transportation, the dispatcher called me on the phone to setup the delivery and I explained the situation once she told me what the compressor would be arriving on. T Force Transportation bent over backwards to get the compressor on a liftgate truck so it could be delivered. Won't be using the seller again, but if I had to ship something I would definitely use T Force. ... show more
