This Delta Classic 400-DST single handle kitchen sink faucet with matching side sprayer is a very beautiful faucet! And the "arc" of the spout is great for filling large pots or anything somewhat tall. After extensive research, I felt good about ordering it, and did expect it to meet my expectations. But, now that it's installed and we operated it, and we stand there looking at it, all I can say is; WOW! it looks and operates ABOVE what I expected, and I expected, or hoped for, a lot. The middle position delivers a good warm temp, and of course, the full cold or full hot does what it's supposed to do. The side sprayer is a delight to use. So, this Delta faucet is simply wonderful and we're so glad we chose it over all the other's we researched. INSTALLATION was not hard at all. Any "difficulties" I encountered were not the fault of the faucet install, but with my own plumbing setup. Even with that the installation was really very easy and straight forward. We highly recommend this wonderful Delta Faucet Classic Single-Handle Kitchen Sink Faucet with Side Sprayer in Matching Finish, Chrome 400-DST!! Great faucet. The simple basic that you can afford to replace every few years, because faucets wear out. A faucet for a real home cook, not the performative once a week cook who installs something you could water elephants with. I'm done with the farmhouse sink and the giant arching squirter faucet combo. I'm going retro with the deep double stainless sink and this real faucet. Easy to install, works fine. Instructions either did not match product or item was already largely preassembled inside the unopened box, which was not indicated in instructions. Since this was not the first faucet I've installed I was able to sort it out. First time I've found a diy product that had instructions that were overly detailed.     • Faucet drips after a month of use…

This faucet works fine, was easy to install. A little smaller of a profile than I thought it would be, looks a little dinky with my sink. My primary complaint is that after about a month of use, the faucet drips heavily (think not just single drips, but big ploppy drips) for about 30 seconds after it’s turned off. This is the worst faucet I have ever purchased. I have been a homeowner for 30 years and have replaced multiple faucets and this is the worst quality I have ever seen. It leaks when it is turned off and also leaks down the sprayer which causes leaks under the sink even when you are not using the sprayer. It was installed by a professional plumber and has been looked at several times by that same plumber. The bottom line is that this is a piece of junk. ... show more

    • Excellent faucet; one note about installation

We built our house 15 years ago and told the plumber to install Delta faucets. About 10 years ago, I replaced the mixer cartridge and discovered I did not have a Delta faucet. So the next time I had a problem with the faucet -- the sprayer crapped out -- I bought this one. Installation was straight-forward and simple. I found it helped a lot to remove the sink drain pipes so there was more room for me to lie on my back and crawl under the sink. There is one note about installation. The faucet has two long grey supply lines. At the end of each supply line is a chrome nut to attach to the house plumbing supply line. At the end of each line also is an insert, one red, one blue, indicating hot water line (red) and cold water line ()blue). The inserts have a small black washer around the insert. Packaged with the faucet is a small plastic bag containing two small plastic washers. The installation instructions talk about cutting the supply lines to length, slip one of these washers on the line, and attach the line to the supply faucet. The clear plastic washers and the instructions about how to cut the line to length are for custom installation only!! I talked with Delta, they told me to forget the small clear plastic washers and use the supply lines as is with the red and blue inserts in the supply lines. I did that, tightened everything, and it works like a champ!! ... show more
