I like how little room it takes and I’ve had it running non stop with no issues for 3 months. The issues that I have is 1) that the water doesn’t really drain well with the hose. The hose was the main reason for me getting this unit. 2) It also came with something loose inside that can be heard clicking when I move the unit around. 3) it is really difficult to clean. Dust accumulates all over. The vents and around the water collection container. I try to clean the outside and the container when I can. I plan to open up the unit for a deep clean since all the dust can be a fire hazard. It has served me well since my apartment has no windows or vents and has prevented mold. And decent price. I probably would get something with a air filter built in in the future ... show more

My son is using this in a bathroom with no windows, no vent. Very easy to set up and clean. It is keeing the mold from forming.

I'm using it in my salami drying chamber which is a former fridge - which is about 20 cubic feet, well below the limit. This thing managed to lower the humidity from 90% to 80% within a few hours. It failed to get below 80% no matter how long it was running. This is is ok for me but don't expect it to make a good job in a room - you will need a bigger unit for that. But major problem is when the hose is connected (a plastic piece that is falling off easily - I needed to use some duct tape to secure it in place) - it will leak water everywhere - there were more water under the unit then it managed to drain through the hose. Definitely pulls the moisture out of the air so it works. I just don't like that the air it puts out is quite warm. (It's not a ton of air)That part sucks in the summer. We use them in 2 of our bedrooms and have to empty it about every 3-4 days. It does come with a tube to auto drain if you've got a place to drain it. ... show more
