Love love looooooove!!!! My apartment was at a high humidity and dew point 24/7, mold had to be growing under all of my carpet and there were spiders everywhere as they loved the warm and wet apartment. The best part is the first few days drying out the apartment. For the first probably 5-6 days I was dumping out the bucket, that alerted me it was full and appropriately stopped until the bucket was emptied, 3+ times a day. There were GALLONS coming out of my apartment air and deep seated carpet/furniture/drywall/etcetera every single day. So don’t panic if you don’t see a drop in humidity for a few days, it’s working hard to get all of this hidden moisture out! Im now at a maintenance stage where I set the level to 40% and let it do its thing automatically. Dumping out the water every other day, but it’s usually not full I just don’t want water sitting in the bucket too long. Best purchase for me. Do make sure that you are vacuuming the filter every day while it’s running consistently and then maybe biweekly when it slows down. I had an issue with the coils freezing and didn’t know why, turns out that vacuuming the filter for good airflow is very important. When it froze, I let it sit overnight and then dumped the melted water from the bin, cleaned the filter and started again and everything has been good as long as I remember to maintain the filter. Noise is quiet, same noise as my air purifier I have running 24/7 so barely noticed it. Not an eyesore. Has the ability to drain through a hose (buy separately) but my set up makes using the bucket more practical. I’d say this dehumidifier isn’t meant for spaces or apartments bigger than 700sq ft? But 700sqft and under and it’s a life saver. You could use it in larger spaces but it’ll take soooo much longer, need to be emptied constantly and put a lot of wear and tear on it constantly running. So if you have a bigger space and are debating on saving the money to get a smaller one, don’t, buy one for your sized space.

I can't speak for its longevity because I've only had it one day, but I'm writing this review after only a few hours of use because this. thing. WORKS. For context, I'm using it in a small bathroom way, way smaller than the 1500 sq ft area it can cover because I needed to get a compressor model rather than a cheaper but much less effective thermoelectric model, and they don't really make compressor models much smaller than this. We have a moisture problem inside one of the bathroom walls - the source of the moisture has been fixed but that doesn't do anything for the water already trapped in there. Apparently one way to fix it before it becomes a bigger problem is to make the bathroom air so super bone dry that there's a humidity/moisture gradient that slowly pulls it out of the wall where it then gets sucked up by the dehumidifier. Physics! Context aside, I am super pleased with how well this dehumidifier does its job. Setup was easy and straightforward. I stuck it in the bathroom and noted that it read 68% humidity, turned on continuous mode, closed the door, and let it run for two hours as a trial just to make sure it worked. In that time the humidity dropped to 33% and there was around two cups of water in the bucket (very rough estimate) - not sure how good or bad that is in the grand scheme of dehumidifiers, but again, this is in a small bathroom so there isn't as much air to pull moisture out of. And I don't doubt that the 33% reading was accurate - when I walked in the air was so dry that it irritated my nose! The app control didn't really factor into my decision to get this particular dehumidifier, but since it has the feature I set up that too, and it's actually been very nice to be able to monitor the humidity level and change the dehumidifier's settings on my phone, without having to open the bathroom door to check on it and letting in a blast of humid air from the hallway in the process. The exact measurements are available of course, but in comparison to other household objects I would estimate it's about the size of maybe a 5-gallon trash can? So not exactly small, but I think it's very reasonable for what it's able to do. The water tank is also pretty big! The water from my two hour trial was a significant amount to be pulled out of the air but wasn't even enough to start raising the water level indicator of the tank. In my opinion it has a sort of clean, modern look that's nice enough that if I were using it regularly in a larger, public room, I wouldn't really feel the need to try to keep it hidden or tucked away in a corner. It's also fairly heavy and would only get heavier as water collects in the tank, but it's also on wheels so for the most part weight isn't an issue once you have it where you want it. Last thing I'll say is it's actually quieter than I was expecting it to be! I didn't really know how to interpret a noise level of 47 decibels besides that it wouldn't be silent and wouldn't be annoyingly loud. And that was accurate - it's not loud and not silent. I can hear it from behind a closed door, but what I find more important than the volume is that the actual noise it makes is very unobtrusive and easily fades into the background as something similar to white noise. Overall rating 5/5, no regrets, would buy again. It's on the expensive size and overkill for what I bought it for but works very well and will be a good piece of equipment to have on hand in the future.

This dehumidifier and air purifier works great. Only reason I gave it four out of Fivestars is it’s not quiet. It has the noise level of a window air conditioner unit. For some people that might not be a big deal, but for others, especially if you want it in a bedroom or anything like that, it might be too noisy. I live in a beach town so humidity is always an issue. This definitely keeps the rooms dry.

I have a 640sqft apartment and this is 100% probably overkill for it but it's fantastic for keep my whole apartment humidity down. my building always feels quite humid and it had been giving me issues sleeping, 65 degrees felt like 70 and always woke up warm and I was killing myself running the AC constantly at such a temp. I got this and it made a huge difference! My apartment now actually feels like cold now when i sleep. No more waking up feeling humid and warm! I mainly run it at night from my living room down the hall from my bedroom and just point the out vent towards my room. It does the whole house fairly quickly and the auto-shutoff once it hits the proper humidity makes this really comfortable to sleep with. The gauge itself is accurate as well, at least when compared to my independent humidity gauges. I've been running this probably for a couple weeks now, haven't needed to empty the bucket yet. Probably best quality of life feature is that it's on wheels. The device needs a good around of room around it for optimal airflow (not good to put it against the wall to work well) So before i go to bed i can effortlessly wheel it out to where i want it and turn it on, and when i wake up it's easily wheeled out of the way. So if you're looking to get this for someone that you might worry they needing to move it around then you won't have to worry here. My only regret is not buying this sooner, i spent like 3 weeks trying to figure out what dehumidifier i needed. Save yourself the trouble, get this.

We moved into a high rise from a standalone house and could not understand why we were so miserable, I mean, we're in (dry) Colorado! But it's the nature of how tight the building is. Our apartment is 1200 sq ft and, after checking Wirecutter, chose this brand (but a smaller unit than Wirecutter recommends). WHAT A DIFFERENCE! This dehumidifier has drastically improved our lives. Note: it is loud and it blows out warm air. We initially placed it too near our thermostat and that warm air was tricking the thermostat (turning on our a/c when the rest of the condo was still cool) so we moved it into our bedroom. Even if not full we empty it before going to bed (so it won't wake us up, beeping when full) and its volume acts as white noise. Would get again in a New York minute.

Purchased from Amazon. It is large in size. It does take up a lot of floor space. I did register my Midea Dehumidifier MAD22C1AWS. The wheels make it very easy to maneuver. The fan is loud and it does eventually cycle off. I purchased the Midea Dehumidifier, June 2025. I accepted the noise from the fan. I did find a good spot to place it. It was working just great keeping my place with fresh cool air. The return date for Amazon ended in August. I would have graded it much better stars rating during those past 7 months. But NOW, December 6, 2025. I am frustrated with this product and Midea customer service as well. Seven months later!! The problem began with having to registered it several times. Because their system could not locate the other registrations. In order to continue I had to reregister it again each time to communicate. I tried the online ChatGPT many times it gave different methods of solutions. I contacted Midea support the 1st lady gave me a case number after trying many different things. She told me to call back another day. The 2nd lady also tried various ways to resolve the issue. She added information from our work to rectify the issue to my case number from the 1st lady. She said someone will contact me 24 to 48 hours. Here is the device problem, the filter light stays on solid green. It was not on and staying solid green during those earlier 7 months prior. I press the solid green filter button for 3 seconds and it turns off the device. Then it flashes “AP”. The filter has been cleaned/seated properly several times. There is no sensor button available. The device has been left unplugged for an entire day. Power/Filter pressed at same time. I can continue listing many things I have done to clear the system but nothing has change. I CANNOT recommend this product! Stay away from this device!! Hopefully in 24 to 48 hours I will get a better result. Thanks for reading. *Update 12-21-2025 No Responses!!

The Midea 22 pint works amazingly well to remove moisture from the air. I live in a 2300 square foot condo in Omaha, NE., where the humidity is very high. Within the first 48 hours of use, the unit removed close to 6 gallons of “water”. The unit does notify you when full with beeps, then shuts down. After emptying, the unit resumes operation. Please note, the sound during operation on turbo can be that of a fan on high. Additionally, the side exhaust blows warm air. Both of which can be bothersome if focused on. My only regret is not buying a larger capacity unit. Twenty-two pints requires emptying the unit every 6-7 hour operating normally.
