In a household with people of different heights who desire the security of a shower grab bar, even if never needed, this is the solution. Using a straight bar, but angling it is a possibility but combining a horizontal AND slanted option in a single bar is better. Installation instructions were clear and the process is easy. I'm compulsive about using silicone on water-exposed fittings, so I advise using silicone as a "lubricant" when screwing the long screws into wood studs. And I cover the screw heads with silicone before snapping the cosmetic ring over them. That's not mentioned in the instructions.

Just what I needed next to the toilet. My wife has to wear a brace and it helps her get up. Also looks great and made well, bar fits right above the toilet paper holder. I would recommend this product outside for purchase.

I saw all the Chinese name brand bathroom fixtures in the likes of Lowes, Home Depot, Menards... Too much money. Ordered this one, when received, if it weren't stainless steel, it would've been damaged, the packaging didn't survive intact and was just in a bag in a box, with sloppy ass Chinese bad English and even a few dimensions that were not actual as were stated on the Amazon website. Well when it came time to mount to the wall in the bathroom, I'm glad I checked how it would look for positioning on sheet rock. The damn part didn't even sit flush on the sheetrock! And my sheetrock isn't warped or crooked, one could even see the the two bad sloppy welds than even screwing it to the wall with anchors wouldn't fix! If the dimensions of the bar were accurate, within an 1/8 inch which isn't a hard thing to do, they Another Victory for CHINESE JUNK!! I returned it at no charge and Amazon refunded right away. Will not buy again...Going to the big box home stores and buying real brands that, yes, unfortunately made in CHINA! It is the worlds manufacturing plant after all. WE all know this!! Unfortunately you often get what you pay for. Stay away from this one and this Amazon store, beware.

I noticed one end had a little movement from the bracket to hold it to the wall.. I pulled on it real hard. Seems strong enough. May be a bit nerving to feel it loose when you first grab it.
