Mine did not have the recess in the bottom to index the bottle jack but it didn't matter because the material is too soft and bends easily under weight of car. I wasn't even at height to remove wheel when I saw what was happening. THIS WILL KILL SOMEONE. I tried several times before returning and posting this. It's not worth the risk. I did buy a different product, made out of aluminum and it works great!!
